I started keto in Aug 2019. I weighted 200 lbs @ 6ft, tiny frame.
From August through November I lost down to 183, where I stayed until 3 weeks ago. Even though I was in moderate to heavy keto the entire time, exercising regularly, eating the proper calories for my weight and even tweaking calories up and down to see if that had and effect, weight stayed at 183. Additionally my HR and BP have been through the roof.
I quit keto 3 weeks ago and I’m down to 175 and my HR and BP are returning to normal. This is more in alignment with the weight loss rate I’ve seen in the past when exercising and eating as strict and as healthy as I do.
The point of my post is that if you’re not seeing results, your vitals turn to sh1t and you feel the same, keto might not be for you. I’m glad I stopped because something was terribly wrong with me on the keto diet.
I’m now on a Mediterranean type diet and feeling and looking much better.
