What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Mandy) #6126

I put in spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, sour cream, mayo, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

Those are the craziest pieces of Flare I have ever seen

EDIT: Good luck!!!

Dinner tonight was chicken wrapped in prosciutto and topped with a couple slices of edam, with cherry tomatoes and green beans all smothered in garlic ghee. I had a few squares of Montezuma’s Chocolate for afters…I think I have a problem with that stuff! I’ve had it every day for about a week now! :see_no_evil:

(Jane) #6129

Pei Wei got the memo!!!

I ordered mine fried. Probably some sugar on the meat but this will be my OMAD

(Steaks b4 cakes! šŸ„©šŸ„‚) #6130

Exactly! As long as it’s keto that’s all that matters!:clap:

(Ashley) #6131

@ClareBear think I’m buying ingredients to try the bread you use tonight! Excited to see if I like it, really want something I can use for over easy eggs since I do OMAD and usually have eggs.

(Little Miss Scare-All) #6132

Uh oh, I’m telling Arkansas.

Thank you for the kind words!
Eating meat still causes complex feelings in me, my reasons for being vegetarian were mostly out of compassion for animals. I’ve always had a special connection to all animals since I was just a wee baby. I work with animals and I have a bit of a reputation for being able to calm some of the more difficult and frightened pets. I just always preferred them to humans, lol. But on the other hand, I never shamed anyone for eating them. It’s the way we go about agriculture now that I can’t reconcile. We’ve industrialized something that should be more of a symbiotic relationship between animal and earth, if that makes sense. We wanted more, and we wanted it cheaper so we developed CAFOs and corn syrup. It’s not healthy for people, the planet, or the animals. I really respect farms like Polyface farm in Virginia that pasture animals like they are meant to be. In fact, my dream life would be to have a little hobby farm of my own with egg hens and dairy cows or goats (or both ), and some alpacas for fiber spinning. I think sometimes I was born in the wrong era, except for my dislike of misogyny, racism, and dysentery and my love of comic books.
Anyway, I ramble. Probably not the right thread for that lol. But the number one selling point on this way of eating for me is satiety. I don’t think I ever experienced it before. I eat and I’m done for hours. Like today, I ate bacon and eggs then did some meal prep for the next few days and didn’t even want to taste test my deviled egg filling. I was still so satisfied from my lunch. Before I would just be thinking and obsessing about when I could eat next. So to me that says this is something my body needs.

Awww thank you! I love all y’all too. I’ve never been on a forum before and this is the nicest bunch of folks I’ve ever seen online (I don’t even Facebook anymore because it’s so depressing and filled with rudeness now)
This is just such a welcoming place and I really appreciate that this is offered free of charge to people

(Steaks b4 cakes! šŸ„©šŸ„‚) #6135

I hope you like it! I think it goes perfectly with eggs! At least once a week I’ll have an over easy egg on top of a slice!! So yummy!

(Jane) #6136

lol.

My husband bought several bags at Walmart today in case they have to remove them from the freezer shelves.

I’d LOVE to see the State of Arkansas try to fine WalMart for selling riced cauliflower!

Talk about biting the hand that feeds ya!!!

(Natasha) #6137

:grinning: That is just how I felt when I discovered it!

(Tamela Robinette) #6138

Brenda Zorn’s chicken tenders recipe. O.M.G. This hit the spot! Just search chicken tenderloins in the food thread. AMAZING!

#6139

I’m adding my entry to repetitive keto dinners with yet another tuna patty entry! I just Love them and they are so easy. Plus, they make good leftovers for my late work nights. Been eating Brazil nuts with fish lately because I read a thing about selenium and mercury being a thing and Mercury is less damaging with the presence of selenium

#6140

There you go again, just when I thought you couldn’t empress me even more.

Thank you for sharing that with us. I really took your words to heart.

#6141

Bratwurst

Cheese

Don’t worry, I’ve got a picture of it melted. I’ve learned my lesson.

Perfection

(Ashley) #6142

This makes me miss cheese which I’m trying to avoid right now :frowning:

(Little Miss Scare-All) #6143

I’d ask you to share but I remember the last time I asked you this.

#rejected

Looks so good! Enjoy!!

#6144

Sorry.

(Ashley) #6145

Haha no worries! But thanks for the blurs
