So I’ve been keto for 8 mo, and I do IF 18/7 without issue a few days a week. But I find that when I have BPC I’m hungry again 2-3 hrs later… Anyone have insight as to why this might be? Today my BPC was 1 tbsp each of butter & MCT… Even added 2 tbsp of HWC. Some days I will do 4tbsp HWC and won’t be hungry till noon or so.
Technically BPC is Dave Asprey’s Bulletproof Coffee and it is comprised of coffee, MCT Oil, and grass-fed butter.
Dave’s BPC does leave me hungry 2 hours later, so I use another version posted under another thread that doesn’t leave me hungry.
I believe it is because MCT oils are too short to trigger satiety through the release of cholecystokinin (CCK), and I’ve found that I need longer chain fats and it works for me.

MCT is good for a quick boost but will not sustain for long.
Nooooo…BPC is a magical elixir!
Try more butter or another round of BPC when you do get hungry. I did the latter today and don’t expect the need to eat until 3 or 4 pm.
Will try more butter tomorrow!
