Only one way to find out! Maybe try a half or quarter recipe and report back?

… Hi, my name is Tom, and I’m a BCD addict…

(Robin) #10

I make something similar but add a bit of horseradish to the mix. So good. I do need to thin it out a bit to have it even pass as a salad dressing though. :kissing_heart:

I have make 2 jars at a time… one to keep in the work fridge and one at home. Helps with eating at the company cafeteria.

(Roxanne) #12

What do you eat it with?

(Tom) #13

I find excuses to eat it with all sorts of stuff. Pepperoni slices, chicken wings, salad, other cheese, steak, topped on burgers, roasted cauliflower, and of course, BCD with a side of BCD!

I make all my salad dressings and make a similar bleh cheese dressing. Thought I’d share my other favs here?

@suzanna, how long do your dressings last in the fridge? Do you use homemade mayo? I’m always worried about them spoiling before I use them!

(suzanna) #16

I don’t use homemade mayo but should I know. I’ve never had any dressings “go off” probably 10 days max is as long as I’d feel safe. But, mayo and sour cream last longer and can’t imagine adding that adding spices, cheese, garlic etc would lessen shelf life of the dressing.

(I like to post memes!) #17

OH wow, that sounds great!

(annieplanck) #18

Feta is especially good on lamb burger!

(suzanna) #19

I’m now homemade mayonnaise convert! The key is light tasting olive oil!

(Becky Searls) #20

This is no joke. Delicious and super easy, thanks!

(tim_debbie) #21

Oh yes…made some last night …my husband went back and stole some more and I think overdid it somewhat. Had to remind him its being a carb burner OR being a fat burner NOT BOTH …he likes to switch …hes coming over

(Roxanne) #22

Finally made this today. Oh my! Had it on a simple romaine salad with chopped tomato and egg.

Tom, you are an evil man. I’ve found my people! (scribbles blue cheese on grocery list…)

(Tom) #24

Mmuuaahaaahahahahahahaaaaa! Cave to your desires and just start buying the blue cheese from Costco like this!

Um…all that image does is make me want to find a spoon.

Reading about the BCD recipe tempted me to come off my 3 day fast a few hours early (I was jonesing for a salad & that sounded like the perfect accompaniment).

Turns out I didn’t have Worcestshire in my pantry, but some Braggs Aminos & Red Boat fish sauce substituted just fine. Delicious!

I also used it on some leftovers later (liver, bell peppers, & mushrooms) with a fried egg on top…added a little _je nai sais quoi.__.

My only mistake was I “halved” the recipe…silly me…I won’t make that mistake again :grinning:

Tom:

I was forced at gunpoint by several friends who work at Trader Joe’s to print out this recipe and disseminate it. (Okay, not really gunpoint, but I would’ve gotten the stink eye from them for weeks.) I added “Ketogenicforums.com” at the top to hook 'em. This could work.

(Mediterranean Magic! Show me yer...) #28

I CAN’T STOP MAKING THIS DRESSING. I THINK I NEED AN INTERVENTION.
