What did you Keto today?

You’re right about that!
I still think it’s pretty cool though.

You never know, I might suddenly find myself strolling the sidewalks of Prague and start to feel a little “peckish”. Now I’ll know where to go.

“Excuse me. Can you tell me where to find the restaurant, with lots of meat, and plates like cutting boards?”

(Lonnie Hedley) #9561

I don’t typically see the need for keto specific restaurants because you can find keto options most anywhere so the restaurant can appease almost anyone.

But dang, sometimes your posts make me think “yes, yes we should have keto only restaurants”. Or you should go door to door cooking for us.

Yes, both Pickles and Olives are not only a favorite of mine, but both are good for Keto. Pickles give you a good source for salt and Olives have great fat. And did I mention, they’re quite tasty!

oh yummy I love sauerkraut too (Raw) I have ate it since I was 5. My dad taught us how to make it and we did in large quantities
so I am off to the local barn to get me some cabbage to make kraut again. This will bring back happy memories! I do really appreciate

all the wonderful feedback! Thank you all

(Comment: you know, it’s really sad that this is the first place I check in when I come to the forums! I just gotta get my food porn fix. :smiling_imp: )

No pic this morning. I’m keeping it simple - avocado with lemon & salt, cream cheese, baken-ets, & my usual coffee with cream & cocoa. I need to throw a dozen eggs in the pressure cooker. I also need inspiration for baking, so please show me your oven creations! Thanks.

AND salt! I drink the brine from canned/jarred olives, or use it to flavor what I’m cooking.

(Candy Lind) #9566

THIS!

(Blessed with butter ) #9567

I had the munchies last night so I ate pickles with salt! I know too much salt is not good!
Great Advice. he he he

(Lauren) #9568

Just a little bacon and ranch dressing for breakfast. I’m so glad to be back. I missed bacon. And meat. And veggies. But mostly bacon.

Apparently, if you leave said plate of bacon on the counter while you run to pee, you come back to only half of what you cooked. :unamused:

(Candy Lind) #9569

Totally off topic, but you HAVE to go to City Hall and ride the “paternoster elevator” - one that never stops. I just saw a video about it yesterday, and now it’s on my bucket list!

(Candy Lind) #9570

Yet another lie we’ve been told. Read our science forum and the book “The Salt Fix.” I have a hard time getting ENOUGH salt with this WOE. I take 2 1g tablets a day.

(Candy Lind) #9571

We have those, too, along with an excellent salad bar.

(Blessed with butter ) #9572

I eat it out of a container on my counter, I get leg cramps all the time, and in my ribs too. I just eat a pinch of sea salt and they go away. Isn’t it wonderful to be able to know what our bodies need! I am doing a fat bomb class for 3 other people on Friday I am so excited to be teaching some others to be healthy!

Welcome back! I too have this problem at my house. I swear even my grown kids that do not live with me anymore know when I cook bacon or pull out Salami. Every time they show up at the front door! lol Have a beautiful day!

(Candy Lind) #9574

Darn, can’t do that many carbs. Guess I’ll stick to Zorn’s Pork Rind Pancakes

(Diane) #9575

You get half?

(Lauren) #9576

The bacon pictured is the half I got. Sneaky kids…

When I worked at a fancy supermarket I would occasionally grab an olive on the way by… don’t tell! (Everyone knew, including my bosses.) I called it the Olive Tax. My favorite were the ones with mustard seeds. Mmmmmm… I miss that olive bar.

#9578

I love it!

I stole the idea too… from one of the regional guys.
