What did you Keto today?

(Ashley) #9460

It definetly does :joy:

We had steak with a mushroom cream sauce, fried queso blanco, salad and a brownie crust cheesecake. So filling!

#9462

Where’s the melted cheese picture? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

(TJ Borden) #9463

Keto taco

(TJ Borden) #9465

Just for you @dlc96_darren… and because it sounded good; a melted cheese board. Tillamook medium cheddar on the left, Asiago top middle, Dubliner aged cheddar lower middle, Colby jack upper right, Gorgonzola lower right.

The Gorgonzola didn’t bind together at all. Thankfully there were plenty of the other types that worked as vessels to get it to my face.

(Adriana) #9466

My food today was tuna steak, guacamole and nopales, the bean enchiladas/enfrijoladas on the side were given to my friend, I was not tempted at all to eat them

What is a sous viad

(Running from stupidity) #9468

It’s effectively a temperature-controlled waterbath into which you put vacuum-sealed foods to cook them very precisely to a specific doneness.

And it’s REALLY EASY.

(Blessed with butter ) #9469

Thank you@juice that was very nice to see that video. I sure have a lot to learn. You know everything :+1:

(Running from stupidity) #9470

No, I’m just excellent at appearing that way

(TJ Borden) #9471

That’s really the key

People say a liberal arts education is a waste, but doing a journalism degree (and then journalism) taught me immense amounts. And one of those things is the ability to research and synthesis information quickly and coherently (and keep track of where you found stuff - mostly) which allows you to sound authoritative. Which you have to do when writing articles, doing TV stories, presenting on radio, etc…

Of course, a GOOD journalism education also teaches you to get your facts straight BEFORE doing the above. Most journalists care about this as well.

Having said that, sometimes the facts are in flux and it’s good to tell your audience that, as well.

made a tortilla out of coconut flower it turned out like a pancake Oh well I just piled my elk meat cheese salsa and sour cream on top.

Tonight’s dessert
Homemade peanut butter cups
Hershey’s sugar-free chips, butter, peanut butter

We make our crisps with one of thoses pads as well. Love that thing.

Taco shells with shredded mexican cheese blend or parmesan seems to work good.

#9479

That’s what I prefer for Taco shells. The cheddar was good, but very oily, and a bit rich in taste. I’ve wanted to try some others, but haven’t yet.
