Mini cheese bread made with coconut flour. Topped with more cheese, pepperoni and pepitas. Reminds me of cornbread.
What did you Keto today?
Making some meatballs with ground lamb using my old recipe sans breadcrumbs. Will dry fry some Shirataki noodles and smother it in Raoās Ariabatta sauce. Will edit and add a pic once it it done.
The Pork Rind Chicken fried steak and Keto Gravy is one of things I was looking at making for my wife. But will just need to locate the recipe I saw again. Believe it was either Keto Vale or Diet Doctor. ⦠Like TJ says, it doead looks good!
Okay, seriously, I need to know how you did it. I canāt stop looking at that picture and drooling.
And where would that recipe be? Iām picking up my annual supply of hatch green chiliās this weekend, and it seems like they would go quite nicely in that.
Hatch chiliās would be awesome in these guys! I made a half recipe to try it out. I think Iāve got some hatch chiliās from my garden in the fridge if they havenāt gone bad. Might have to make another half recipe with my peppers!
These https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/low-carb-cranberry-jalapeno-cornbread-muffins/ ones are awesome too though they do stick a little - possibly because of the changes I made to the recipe.
I donāt use jalapeno or cranberry - I add small cubes of cheddar, a decent (or indecent depending on your tolerance) amount of chopped chipotle & spring onion. Smoky/sweet loveliness
,seriously, I need to know how you did it.
Crushed up some pork rinds, Coated the steak in egg, covered in the crushed pork rinds and then fried in a pan. For the gravy I did bacon grease and butter, added almond flour to make a roux of sorts. Then I added milk and cream cheese. Sorry I donāt have exact amounts, I always wing it and donāt measure. Also salt and pepper to taste
Good on ya!
I get my staffordshiresā food from a feed store. I get some strange looks from the owners there. I keep asking about low carb dog food. They havenāt a clue. āHere you go, this one has rice, peas, cornā¦ā
I explained to them that Iām eating healthy now, so Iām also treating my dog as well. I want him to eat good. Itās not expensive for him to eat the best food for him. Just need to stay away from the crappy grain filler.
Hades (my 7 yr old Staffordshire) loves it that Iām eating keto. I just have to be sure he doesnāt get any garlic, onions, or avocado from what Iām eating.
He recognizes the pork belly when I pull a slab out of the freezer. Makes him happy when I cook it.
We had a schipperke. He was not showable, but so friendly and personable. Had him for 14 years.?
K
Ours is mostly schipperkie but mixed with something. He was a rescue (all of ours are āspecialā case rescues). It was after the third time at a dog park where someone said he was a cute schipperkie that I finally looked it up and realized thatās what he was. When we rescued him, they thought he was a Jack Russell/chihuahua mix. Definitely the smartest dog weāve ever had. If his brain was in a 50lb body, heād be unstoppable.
Thanks so much Karen. I think being part of this community has inspired me to get get creative. There are endless possibilities which Iām starting to discover. I tried to make a keto olive bread last night ( it didnāt turn out very good lolā:weary:) however I will persevere.
Ours was from a friend. Her sister bred them. But he was not showable and my friend wanted a ārealā dog. So we got him. His name was Skeeter. Very sweet face. Fat when we got him. They snacked him a lot. Table food.
Thatās sad. All Iāve ever had is mutts, and theyāve all been great dogs. Iām glad Skeeter found a good home with you.
