I’ll second @Capnbob’s suggestion of par-boiling. I think that might make all the difference.
What did you Keto today?
Got lucky that technology can suck sometimes.
$11.69 each. Register broke during check out. Only cost me the $2.40 deposit slip I had put into the Uscan. Supervisor told me to just take them.

Think had been boiled, was years ago now, just remember it being pretty rubberery.
This meat seriously gives me the shivers… The good kind…
Porkchop with bacon wrapped around. Homemade cultured and herbed butter.
Fathead bagle with cream cheese and pizza sauce. What a breakfast…
It also helps occasionally to run across someone who doesn’t mind screwing their company.
The recipe is in the forums, and happy I looked because I’d forgotten someone had stuffed the filling in peppers, which I will try too😊
Had some Hot Smoked Salmon (https://www.salarsmokehouse.co.uk/product/200g-portion-flaky-smoked-salmon/) for lunch with some red onion and creme fraiche. YUM!
Egg, heavy cream, bacon, spinach, lots of cheese. And all the bacon grease you can squeeze from the pan. They turned out real good
Ooh. @Capnbob, @JustPeachy, @Ernest Just happened across this:
(it’s basically cooking your french fries in a brine, sous vide to get them extra fluffy inside and extra crispy outside).
Thinking of doing this for my next Jicama experiments - both for baking as well as jicama fries.
I’ll leave the sugar out of the brine though - jicama’s already sweeter than potato…and we certainly don’t want there to be any potential of absorbing any additional carbs!
Nice to know that some people recognize that customer service matters, that repeat business drives profits in the long run.
Cheeseburger, planning on trying 48hr+ fast (can do unplanned easily but planned are harder) so feasting first, managed 3/4 of it.
