What did you Keto today?
Not sure what you mean by starches @Alley
Do you mean peppers, onion, and baby corn as starches? First Iāve heard someone refer to these as starches.
No carrots or potato. The corn is baby corn, which fits with the keto lifestyle at 3g total carbs (1g fiber) per 100g compared to cauliflower at 5g total carbs (3g fiber) per 100g. The caulirice may look like potatoes.
I made this batch with colored peppers instead of green and boiled off the beef broth for a thicker sauce, no thickeners used.
My original recipe is
Iām pretty sure he cooks his eggs like I do. Small 6ā dedicated egg pan and they fill the bottom of the pan and come out the diameter of the inside of it. Makes pretty eggs.ā¦except, I stuff 4 eggs in mine and cook with a lid. The lid keeps the steam in and partially cooks the top of the eggs.
HAHAHA! Good eye, the butter is thicker than the steak.
My cook eggs at 2 yolks to 1 whole egg ratio. It just so happened that one egg had twin yolks.
You nailed it @rustyk61. Thatās exactly what I do except I do more yolks than whole eggs.
Nothing you couldnāt handle in a flamkuchen.
Replace crust with Fathead/Carlshead/Cauliwhatnow/etcā¦
My first attempt at fathead bagels! Havenāt tried them yet because Iām not hungry!
But I think they sure are purtyā¦lol.
For those that love blue cheese, I think the pairing with beef is one of those divine matchesā¦like rosemary, garlic and lamb. Found a worthy receptacle for the blue cheese sauce from the other night (rib steak) with a side of grilled cabbage.
Some folks will indulge in a little carrot occasionally; the baby corn is low carb (when I found that out, it was like a gift from the gods!), and we have some pretty darn good substitutes for potatoes, such as radishes, daikon, and turnips. Stick with us, kid, and youāll learn all our low-carb tricks.
Iād check that as that seems high. There is very few carbs in baby corn. Iād say more like 2-3 per 100g
**Based on looking around in the past when I was wanting keto cornbread.
