What did you Keto today?

(Rebecca ) #6656

Beef taco in homemade (2 net carbs ) tortilla. Also worked for a fabulous cheese quesadilla with sour cream for breakfast

After a long hard day…

(Banting & Yudkin & Atkins & Eadeses & Cordain & Taubes & Volek & Naiman & Bikman ) #6659

First day of Feldman protocol. Not so great, but much more fat without much additional protein.

These are my favorite! https://www.heyketomama.com/the-best-keto-dinner-rolls/

This midnight snack is precisely why I need to introduce intermittent fasting

Super fatty pastrami (didn’t trim any fat before smoking) with melted havarti and topped with full fat sour cream mixed with spicy mustard.

(Sophie) #6662

Ooooo sour cream with spicy mustard…I’m gonna have to try that one!

(Candy Lind) #6663

Mmmm, HAVARTI! Going on the shopping list, along with smoked Gouda. :heart_eyes_cat:

(Candy Lind) #6664

Which recipe did you use?

(Rebecca ) #6665

This one! I love it.

(Lauren) #6666

I don’t always eat lunch, but when I do…

Chuck-eye steak with 2tbsp of Rao’s and a sprinkling or parmesan cheese.

And this burger with onions, mushrooms, cheese, and mayo/mustard sauce was supper last night:

Take one tray with a half centimetre thick lining of bacon nectar left over from the weekends bacon snacks preparation, and chop up red, yellow and orange peppers, a couple of spring onions, a large cauliflower, a medium sized broccoli thing, and drizzle with olive oil.

Put it in the oven on Gas Mark 4 for a bit, stir occassionally to get all the veggies covered in melted bacon nectar.

When nearly done, grate some red leicester cheese over the top, and ENJOY !

ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY

(Candy Lind) #6668

Buffalo turkey wings (this is the smallest one, and this is a regular dinner plate.). I went stupid and bought 4 packages (EIGHT WINGS!) because they were marked down. Now I’m staring at a mountain of wings, with the last 2 still in the oven. There’s not going to be a lot of variety in my protein this week! :flushed:  :exploding_head:

(Sophie) #6669

Because everybody loves a Broccoli Thing!:laughing::smile::rofl:

(Ashley) #6670

I get havarti with dill and it’s amazing

They do look buttugly but were delicious.
Chorizo, oriental spiced and whiskey.
The dark ones (chorizo and oriental) both contain beef heart and chicken liver.
Makes the sausage cheaper as well as more nutritionally dense and even our liver haters (including me) loved it.
The chicken liver made the sausages burst though, so I might just put it in burgers in the future…

They don’t look buttugly to me!

(I came for the weight loss and stayed for my sanity... ) #6673

Thanks.
It was just a pity they burst open. I filled them too much. The lack of casing made the meat spill out everywhere…

(Susan) #6674

Ok - don’t judge me. I just cooked dinner with Steak-umms!! I don’t think I’ve bought them in 20 years, but I happened to see them mentioned on some random low-carb site and I checked them out and they are 100% beef. Yeah yeah yeah. Who knows what part of the beef…but I’m ok with that.

So, I made this outrageous Philly Cheesesteak Casserole - a throw-together, I’m-just-going-to-wing-it recipe. It was so freaking good!!
