What did you Keto today?

(Lonnie Hedley) #6536

I just do 4 eggs, 2 tbls hwc. Copious amounts of salt. I figure adding butter wouldn’t be bad.

1 quart mason jar. Keep an eye on it. When the eggs rise to the top of the jar, stop, then stir to finish cooking.

(Rebecca ) #6537

Because I NEEDED chick fil a today. And the sauce was everything. Picked up 3.50 worth boneless skinless thighs and pork rinds. Made way too much and I’m stuffed. On week 7 of keto and this was one of my fave meals so far

(TJ Borden) #6538

I couldn’t decide between bacon and eggs or steak and eggs, so I did it all. AKA the Keto Holy Trinity.

(Sophie) #6539

…at this point I’d add a larger pat of butter, then continue on…

Exactly. And it shouldn’t take long. If you feel daring, add another pat of butter! It makes everything better!

(Gabriel G.) #6540

How did you make the sauce?

(Rob) #6541

Thinking of fasting tomorrow so using up some stuff from the fridge. Last pork loin chop, (the lean runt of the litter :frowning:), fried mushrooms and sprouts with T Hughes BBQ sauce and an (accidental) brown butter buffalo sauce. Tasty but too thick.

#6542

bacon wrapped ground beef, stuffed with cheese filled avocado

#6543

I had to share this, it was done by a buddy in Colorado, wish I could claim it as mine

(Lonnie Hedley) #6544

Normally I make hard boiled eggs the night before, but this week I was feelin like something warm for lunch, so the last three days I had been working on technique. Other than the eggs that I crack before leaving in the morning, I’ve been dealin with what I’ve had at the office. Now that I’ve got the cooking part down, I’ll start adding goodies. This morning I added some butter to the eggs before leaving.

(Jody) #6545

like you I moved to the carnivore diet and though I didn’t get a pic, I had ribeye w/ butter and Pig Jowl Bacon … only thing I was missing was the egg. Next time!

(Susan) #6546

Only because I think it’s so pretty…

Hour 41 of my fast.

(Doug) #6547

Nice, Susan. Looks like the lighter cousin of a Guinness.

(Pete A) #6548

First time on these… 2 enthusiastic thumbs up! 3 or 4 does the trick so it’s an appetite suppressant if you need one! Permission to eat whole bag granted.

I only had 2 slices of bacon cooked (see fat on plate). The cracklins supplemented my morning hog fat feeding! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Rebecca ) #6549

It was this recipe. And it was On. Point. I made a half, but I’ll be making more. it was even delicious on the asparagus. Learning to embrace mayonnaise finally. I never used to like it…

#6550

Smoked mackerel on ryvita crackers…

(Gabriel G.) #6551

Keeping it pretty basic today. Keto doesn’t always want to be fancy

Lots of bacon grease involved in those eggs.

(Doug) #6552

Looks perfect, Gabriel. Some good black pepper on there?

#6553

That is gawgus! Please tell me how you did that. I may buy a sous vide because of these pics.:ox:

#6554

Recipie please!

(Steve) #6555

Wow! That’s a LOT of liquid smoke! (I normally use 3-4 drops for a half rack of ribs when i’m Cooking them sous vide).
How much did you use in your batch?
