What did you Keto today?

#6516

My first and only meal today. Giant ribeye :cut_of_meat: with sautéed criminis, and cheddar. Asparagus. I have been looking forward to this all day :yum:!

Looks amazing!

When I can get to the point of fasting I MUST purchase a sous-vide device. This has to happen in my house!emphasized text

(Gabriel G.) #6520

Spinach salad tossed in olive oil and rice vinegar (yeah, rice vinegar is a little on the sweet side, but it’s what I had), couple strips of bacon, sliced cremini mushrooms sauteed in the bacon grease, freshish mozzarella, crushed macadamia nuts, and a little pimento.

(Victoria Mc Coy) #6521

Nice! Wagyu?

(Victoria Mc Coy) #6522

(Andrew Anderson) #6526

1st SousVide 36hr beef ribs. My eyes tear with joy!

(Susan) #6527

This is me being confident! I’m trying for a 46ish-hour fast, starting yesterday. So, I forgot to take a pic of my BP coffee with all of the yummy froth on top, but here’s the last big sip:

That should be the only thing I’m Keto-ing today!

(matt ) #6528

Sous Vide top round with cheese sauce, green beans cooked in bacon fat and cheddar biscuits.

(Candy Lind) #6529

Yay! You’re first food porn!

(Candy Lind) #6530

Thanks for this! I found their BBQ sauce at my grocery store, and asked if they’d start carrying the ketchup too. I’ll look for it whenever I go in & keep asking.

Take 3. I’ve perfected the mason jar scrambled egg. 2 minutes 15 seconds leaves them a little runny. Stir to finish cooking. Dare I say better than in a pan?

First batch chorrizo.
Delicious. Beef heart and chicken liver were barely noticeable. The meat was only slightly sweeter. I underestimated the need for pricking those bad boys. Besides of that one beauty they burst and came out quite ugly.
Low carb bagle and avocado to go with it. I am soooo stuffed :see_no_evil:

If you want the full, most amazing sous vide experience with them, go lower (like 133) and longer (like 72 hours). That’s where mind meets blown.

Breakfast sammy for OMAD.
(warned you I was going to use up those failed bagels)
1/3 pkg (125g) Johnsonville Sausage Patty, 1 egg mixed with some diced onion, two crispy strips of bacon and 60g of old, sharp white cheddar.
Pre-topped:

Complete/plated:

What you can’t see is the burnt cheddar at the back of the sandwich. I ran out of patience. Should have left it under the broiler longer to burn more of that cheddar.
Who doesn’t love burnt cheese???

Thanks for this - it will be easier in the truck than a pan. I’ll go hunt for a recipe - unless it’s not recorded anywhere?
