What did you Keto today?

(I came for the weight loss and stayed for my sanity... ) #6496

Maybe a bit more hwc and cook in 30 second bursts, mixing with a fork in between?
I think I tried something similar a long time ago

Those look lush!

(Jody) #6498

I started carnivore yesterday … new month, new WOE. I wanted to try something different to see if I could break through my stall of these MANY months. lol (Besides, i LOVE meat!)

(Rebecca ) #6499

Bacon balsamic sprouts and butter braised ribeye. This was awesome!

(Mandy) #6500

butter poached salmon with capers and greens for lunch. i used to feel so guilty for eating the luscious salmon fat…yummo!!

Take 2. Larger mason jar was the key.

(Diane) #6502

Such a pretty plate!

(Mandy) #6503

Thanks!

(Susan) #6504

I realize this is not nearly as pretty as many of the plates that people post, but I threw it together really fast and it is what I Keto’d today!

The odd-looking little container has the little bit of yesterday’s food - so yay for me for only eating until satiety and NOT finishing the whole thing just because I could! And then I didn’t eat everything on this plate - I wasn’t that hungry I guess. And for me, that’s important because portion control is one of my biggest issues.

(TJ Borden) #6505

Looks pretty to me.

(Susan) #6506

Thanks TJ! Very nice of you to say.

I’ll admit that I’m a big believer in “presentation” being very important - especially when it comes to food. So while I probably wouldn’t throw this exact plate out there for friends at a dinner party to chow-down on, it absolutely served its purpose for me.

(Ellen) #6507

Damn that looks good!

(Rebecca ) #6508

My lunches OFTEN look like this. I love it. I am a snacker for sure so it suits me.

(Gabriel G.) #6509

Nailed it.

(Gabriel G.) #6510

Gets the job done.

Threw a nice fatty (cheap) blade roast in the sous vide the morning after I started a fast. (warmed up on some bouillon, then a salad). 83 hours made it pretty tender!

Just look at all that delicious fat!!!

Added gravy to my second helping.

I splurged a little for my first day back to carnivore. Chicken hearts fried in lard then tossed with my BBQ rub, followed by a sous vide porterhouse smothered with kerrygold

Sous Vide Short Ribs. Cook time was 24 hours.

(TJ Borden) #6514

How did you finish them? Like cooking I mean… I know how you ate them, they look delicious.

Just butter in my cast iron for about 90 seconds…butter browns the best.
