What did you Keto today?

(Melis Jansen ) #5689

They were not hot at all, I guess the heat cooks the heat out of them. They just taste like turnips. I wasn’t crazy about them but since they are cheap, healthy and low carb I’ll keep eating them.

Next time I make them I am going to cut them in half and roast them at a low temp for a long time in a pan with olive oil.

(Candy Lind) #5690

I have roasted them in the oven like I do other veggies, and they turn out great - especially when you coat them in bacon nectar. I had some particularly large radishes this last time (I cut in 1/2 or 3rds depending on size), and they were nice & tender in 30 minutes (I turned them after 20), with a bit of charring on the edges. YUM.

Is that a burger wrapped in raw tuna? It can’t be…What’s the first picture?

(TJ Borden) #5693

I think it’s a bell pepper, but I thought it was tuna at first too.

(Ernest) #5694

Cornish hen, mushrooms (fat sponge, transporter)

(Chasity Hedges) #5695

Haha no its a pepper!

(Ellie Baum) #5696

Keto sushi! I put some cream cheese in the cali rice to make it sticky…it kind of worked. But the pizza was better! On a bed of Cali rice.

The rest was made with strips of summer squash or zucchini.

Also a bowl of “egg roll in a bowl”

(Robert Kuhar) #5697

Oh its red pepper i think!

(Mandy ) #5698

Tonight’s dinner… Yummy scrambled eggs… No milk no butter… Just eggs, bacon, spring onion and cheese … :yum:

(Liz) #5699

Cooked these lovely belly slices for later…if you notice the gap it’s because they smelt so good I stole one for breakfast! :joy:

(Cathy) #5700

Thank you Rob! I look forward to having homemade cheviche!!

(Cailyn Mc Cauley) #5701

Been on a vacation and have been taking photos, but not posting. I started a new thread on Restaurant Keto to see how others are modifying menus–because sometimes ya gotta get out of the kitchen(even though I love to cook!)

This was a Hampton Inn breakfast bar–scrambled eggs, butter, cheddar and turkey sausage links. Plus 2 deviled eggs for the road.

I have frozen cauli soup I made when I was sick.
Great idea how to pep it up so I use it before winter is over XD

Bacon-nectar… I love that expression. Can we add that to the dictionary?

(Christopher Avery) #5704

“Bacon nectar” I love it. Maybe I’ll call my strategic reserve essence de bacon.

(Christopher Avery) #5705

Reverse-seared lamb chops (salt and pepper) with brussels sprouts sautéed in butter, EVOO, and garlic. A sprinkling of Regianno.

(Candy Lind) #5706

Ribeye with sautéed zucchini/mushrooms at a favorite Tex-Mex haunt. Also had a salad with guacamole, sour cream, cheddar, & salsa (YUM!). The Serrano pepper was too much for me, @rustyk61. My mouth is still burning 1/2 hour later!:cold_sweat:

(TJ Borden) #5707

Hosted a keto brunch today for some friends that have recently started keto. It was a Holy Pork Trinity theme. Sausage and spinach frittata with fried pork belly and bacon. The sauce is a New Mexican red chili sauce that was divine on the frittata.

It doesn’t look pretty but bacon & sprouts pan fried in bacon nectar with mozzarella, tastes better than it looks.
