What did you Keto today?

I once adapted that waffle recipe to make a wrap for bratwurst, it worked great.

Good thing, 'cos when I saw that green was actual beans, I had serious doubts! LOL

Not really food but got this today! Can’t wait to add some butter and MCT oil, after my workout in the morning.

I’ve seen that advertised on Chive. You’ll have to let us know how it is.

Cauliflower Mac n Cheese

Based on the recipe on:

(I tweaked the recipe a little)

(Emily Borden) #5432

I got to have some of that pizza…it was so good!

I’ve been on the fence for the past month or so on this sous vide do-hickey.

Sous vide or not to sous vide?..that is the question!

(TJ Borden) #5434

As near as I can tell, it pretty much allows one to reach a new level in the keto cult. I’ve been in trouble for the last few months for buying it, but all is well now that my wife just had the best steak of her life.

I can’t wait. I was thinking how much the bread’s texture was like cornbread when I made the regular recipe previously. I bet it’s going to be so tasty.

Wait for a sale. The Anova unit goes on sale almost constantly and the Joule unit goes on sale around holidays.

But it’s really a next level cooking approach. When the Eades (Protein Power) were developing the Sous Vide Supreme, Dr. Mike wanted to call it the Meat Master. It’s amazing for meats.

I find that using a handheld steamer to clean the kitchen really helps. The heat melts the grease without chemicals and then you can just wipe it up with a rag.

@Alexia I like to use those Magic Erasers and some Dawn dish detergent. Works great on the cabinets too.

After my 3 day (68 hr) fast, I’m in feast mode!

1 egg scrambled, with pinch each of red onion, bell pepper, mushroom and spinach, cooked in Bone broth (trust me!)

A bunch of asparagus, braised in Bone broth then sauteed lightly in bacon grease. Eaten one at a time with fingers while cleaning the kitchen and dancing to Whitney Houston.

Chicken breast breaded with pork rinds and parmesan, cooked in bacon grease. Eaten by dipping in Bone broth ohh yeah

1 tbs pecan butter, whipped up with 2 tbs heavy cream and a squirtle of sugar free Maple syrup.

(Sophie) #5443

Avo with homemade ranch dressing using homemade avocado oil mayo. Very filling!

(Missy) #5444

I didn’t know they sometimes go on sale so I’ll definitely be on the look out.

I’ve been reading about both of the units here and there and although the Joule has better reviews, I’m put off by it because from my understanding it’s not something you can use manually and have to use an app in order to get it cook. Then the Anova seems to have a problem with steam getting into it’s vents and if that happens, it shuts off.
If either of these companies fixed those problems, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase one today. I would LOVE to cook meats perfectly every time.

Never had an issue with my Anova. Hope it stays that way.
