You sound ideal!
What did you Keto today?
Whaaaaaat? I never thought of making fideo with spaghetti squash! Now I gotta try it! Thanks for the idea!
I mean, Iâm a grad student in social work after working as a teacher with a funky fasting schedule, bacon breath, an early bird schedule, and a weird tendency towards horrifically depressing reading material and travel destinations.
So yeah, Iâm pretty single too
Donât worry, I didnât take that the wrong way. I know what you mean on time. I get 1 Saturday off every 2 weeks when kids are away. I usually use it for sleep, housework, and chill time.
Yes itâs cold brew coffee with HWC. They also can add sugar free coffee flavorings to it, but I donât care for it.
Keto Cookies!
recipe from https://www.ruled.me/low-carb-chocolate-chip-cookies/
I substiuted the walnuts for natural peanut butter, and instead of chocolate chips, I broke apart the darkest chcolate bar I could find (88%).
Chicken crust pepperoni pizza.
Crust recipe is here: https://www.ketoconnect.net/recipe/no-carb-pizza/
I actually like this crust better than fathead, as itâs way lower calorie-wise, and it had a really good flavor. My next one will be a buffalo chicken pizza.
It it ainât broke, donât fix it.
edit: Today I picked up an inexpensive and very nicely fatty âon saleâ corned beef. Itâs simmering now. I always used to feel so guilty/unhealthy eating and totally enjoying that lovely fat layer. Not anymore.
Talking corned beefâŚ40 years ago my father and grandmother used to go to the original Shopsyâs deli on Bathurst street in Toronto and come home with 5-10lbs bags of FREE Corned beef fat trimmings!! Weâd have it with cabbage etc. RememberâŚthis is 40 years ago!!! BtwâŚMy grandmother lived to 96 years of age.
Moral of the storyâŚEat more delicious fats!!!
Iâve only seen one other attempt at tamales. I will be tuning in to see how the âmasa developmentâ is going. I might even give it a whack myself!
First try warm Reuben on Keto âryeâ. Next time Iâll make them open face, use less cocoa powder in the bread, otherwise very tasty!
I just saw this yesterday! Pricy as heck, but if itâs good itâs probably worth it. I have also been thinking about chopping up baby corn to add to âcorn muffinsâ to impart some corn flavor.
They also have potato and many other odd extracts. But very pricey.
As for baby corn (canned), Iâve experimented using that to make fresh corn tortillas, but did not reach peak tortilla yet. The canned baby corns do not have that much corn flavor. Last summer I even tried to grow some, and while it was interesting, it does not come close enough to masa flavor to be worth the work. It might work better for making tamales however.
Yes, it is pricey but itâs worth every penny. Wes at Highflautinâ Low Carb recommended it for his cornbread stuffing. It makes all the difference. Youâll know it when you smell it. I think you can get it cheaper through the MFGâs website.
