What did you Keto today?

(Marie Dantoni) #3913

Beef steak w/cilantro lime
& garlic butter, cauliflower mash, spinach w/ bacon.

(Andrew Anderson) #3914

So radishes fried in butter are fairly epic. Covered in garlic, salt, pepper, cayenne, and paprika. The rib eye was ok too!

(Lonnie Hedley) #3915

Bacon frittata.

4 eggs, 3 slices bacon, 2 tablespoons hwc, cream cheese and butter underneath. About to be slobbered with sour cream.

(Momo) #3916

Dinner went by before I could get a picture… but this?!)$@&… so freakin good!!!

(Trish) #3917

I do the same but with 1 tbsp of coconut flour instead of the 3 of almond to make “sandwich” bread. Going to try your version tomorrow to see how it toasts up and then buttered like a breakfast toast.

(Tim Adams) #3918

Fathead Calzone!

Pepperoni, olives, chorizo, onion and cheese with a drizzle of LC marinara!

(Richard Morris) #3919

Fast breaking - some fried Porchetta, with a mustard sauce (porchetta bag juices + mustard + fennel fronds + cream), and some of Julies Keto-slaw

Julie’s Keto Slaw

Cabbage
Red and Yellow Bell Peppers (Capsicum)
Horseradish
Spring Onions
Mayonnaise

(Ron D. Garrett) #3920

NICE!!! Awesome breakfast!!

(Karl L) #3921

The Red while cooking and with dinner, and a big peaty dram for dessert!

(Karl L) #3922

That’s beautiful!!

(Candy Lind) #3923

Yummo! I need to make a batch of cauliflower mash today.

(Marie Dantoni) #3924

Yea. It’s kind of a pain in the butt to make so making a big batch and freezing in portions works really well.

(Candy Lind) #3925

To what “conventional” dish/veg would you compare them? I understand they are a good sub for potatoes in a stew, since they lose their “bite” - which is what turns me off to raw radishes. Maybe frying a small batch would tell me if I like them better cooked overall.

(Ellen) #3926

Just a quick chicken curry with “rice” (mostly konjac).

(Ellie Baum) #3927

Sounds weird but squash?

You have to use sweetener though

(Candy Lind) #3928

Did you make it? Kristie Sullivan has a keto “Apple” something-or-other that uses peeled & seeded zucchini and apple extract to approximate apples. I want to try something like this because my hubby loves apple pie.

(Kim Cook) #3929

Queso Fresco in Kerrygold and re-baked chicken skins with onion powder and HPS added

(Richard) #3930

That it :grinning:

(Ellie Baum) #3931

I did. It was in the earlier days of my cooking. The “apples” were great. I didn’t know what I was doing with the cloud bread through and they didn’t feel like bread.

(Andrew Anderson) #3932

I cooked them long enough and used enough butter and seasoning that the bite was gone. I was shocked. The reminded me of thin sliced fried breakfast potatoes. Slicing them is a pain in the rear.
