I’d just like to say, I really shouldn’t start reading this thread when I’m 2 hours into my 16-hr fast. Quick, where’s my big water bottle??? Distractions, I need distractions!
Last 3 hours of a 72 hour fast here. I love this thread when I am fasted because it’s such an overload of awesome that it gives me option paralysis. Oh yeah when I break this fast I am having soul bread … oh no I want pizza … no wait porchetta … arrrgh.
Yes to onion powder! That’s one of the things I put on the liver. Not just a dash.

Hungarian Paprika
Garlic powder
Onion powder
A good alternative is egg white powder, although you will need to adjust the quantities down I think as it is more drying.
Cheese stuffed giant meatballs. The Hubby said they are fantastic (I’m ZC for at least 2 months), I failed to read all the directions and didn’t bake the meatballs 1/2 before adding the Diablo sauce, the next round of pics will be pretty without overcooked cheese and sauce. I used crushed pork rinds instead of almond flour, and Rao Diablo sauce

Decided to make chicken skin cracklings for the first time after cooking a pot full of thighs. I think they would have been better if I took them off before cooking the thighs (I browned the thighs, then pressure-cooked), but they’re not bad. Fried in bacon grease. They are dark because paprika was one of the seasonings. Now for some bone broth.
