Um WOW. No wonder I dont like the half n half. YUCK. I’m working up to full on HWC Just not QUITE there yet.
lol
What did you Keto today?
I’m really confused here. Half and half is simply HWC with milk to create 10% fat end result.
@Pilotbob, where are you getting the list of ingredients you posted?
Sorry, google fail… that was ingredients of a non-dairy liquid creamer. Will update my post.
@pilotbob, Hey, no worries.
Companies like Coffee Mate make imitation dairy products, and that’s what I suspected.
It costs more money to buy milk and HWC to make half and half, and then more containers in the garbage/recycle bin. I’m a bit of a penny pincher cheap ass bastard and wanted to help out.
Before keto I had only had them steamed. They are so much tastier fried.
Don’t let the secret out…the price will go up!
Yesterday was
2 x BPC
1 Strip of oven cooked bacon (kids at the rest) and some cheddar chilli cheese
Dinner was Thai Green Chicken Curry (sans rice)
This did not dissapoint. Pork Belly has to be in my top 5 favorite foods! In face, it was so good I had to SC it .
Magret (duck breast) with the pan juices and a little balsamic vinegar to deglaze with buttered broccoli.
Not today but while I am getting pictures off the camera…
Eggs in Purgatory with chorizo and a flax seed muffin on the side.
Pork chop, celeriac fries and green salad (mache).
I think that there IS still a difference though, because today I ordered a flat white with half n half from the starbucks app, and when I picked it up didn’t like it. I asked the whole "how does (or does?) half n half differ from whole milk + HWC question, and every single barista said something different or that they weren’t sure. Regardless they offered to remake it with half whole milk and half heavy cream so we could compare, and it tasted SO much better. So, I imagine Half n Half must be half 2% and half cream or something? Or half whole milk and half light cream? Not sure but it definitely didn’t taste as good (less creamy, smooth, foamy, more tasteless in general…?)
