What did you Keto today?

(Carolyn Finch) #307

Supper tonight in Minnesota:

Tacos with CHEESE SHELLS, y’all. Oh yes. That happened. Avocado and sour cream and salsa and green onion and taco beef and crunchy lettuce and Tabasco.

We’ve had these a couple times before, so we knew they were good, but dang. It’s literally just shredded cheese melted on parchment. <3 Cheese Love.

So deprived…

(Scott Shillady) #309

Half and half in the US is stanardized at 12.5% butterfat, HWC is at least 36% butterfat

#310

@Daisy, your pictures of the food are really boring. Yawn.

#311

We Canadians and our beloved metric system…our half and half is 10% fat.

(softail925) #312

I use a low carb bottled red sauce - 3 net carbs in 1/4 cup. (A generic pizza sauce brand from Krogers) I typically eat 2 slices of this pizza (I double the recipe for lots of leftovers later - hubby loves it)

(Scott Shillady) #313

I believe that shows that Canada has lower standards and the US has better HnH

#314

@CatPants So what do you just bend them over while there still warm and wait for them to cool?

What kind of cheese, parm?

(Henna Selnes) #315

Tapas time for us. Keto tapas.

(Carolyn Finch) #316

Cheddar or cojack. Caveman keto has a microwave recipe, or Food Network had an oven one. Just search ‘keto cheese taco shells’. The key is to pull them out of the oven at the right time, let them cool for just a half minute or so, then bend them. I like to use a big mixing bowl and set a couple of big wooden spoons across the top, then drape the a shell over each spoon. You kinda have to shape them a little and be careful not to burn your hands. But it’s totally worth the effort.

That looks lovely @Henna. I miss the fiskepudding in Norway. Can’t find that here in Canada.

Wonderful! Enjoy!

(Kathy L) #320

I tried posting this comment & it went WAY to the bottom :weary:So I deleted it to try & put it here ( hopefully where I want it!):
Costco ribeye is the BEST we’ve ever had!!! Love em!

(Kathy L) #321

So my reply to anything goes to the bottom? I used the reply arrow under @rodan5150 post -& still flipped way to end?

#322

YEs, this is a flat not threaded forum system.

(Guardian of the bacon) #323

It does both. It initially goes to the bottom to show chronological order of comments. But if you use the gray reply button in a text box it attaches directly to that post also.

If you look in the bottom left corner of a post you may see in light gray text “Replies” with a down arrow, Click on that and you can see all the direct comments to that particular post.

Another technique is if you are browsing through a thread and see what seems like a random comment and you wonder what post it was in reply to look in the top right corner for a reply curled arrow with a members icon. Click on that and it will take you to the initial post that the current poster was replying to.

Hope this helps a bit.

(Guardian of the bacon) #324

The reply button in the top right corner only appears when you are replying to a comment further up the chain. If your reply is chronologically directly below the post you are replying to it does not appear.

See how in this post it appears because I replied to your first post but in my first response it did not appear because I was replying to your post directly above mine?

(Mike W.) #325

JJ Italian Nightclub unwich minus tomato and onion, add hot pepper and avocado. I’ve missed you Jimmy.

(Guardian of the bacon) #326
