I try to buy fresh when I can. But normally just get a gallon container at Costco for $5
I posted it in Recipes but here’s the link for that post for you. It was good. I used more taco seasoning and less broth.
Feasting tonight. Two bacon burgers, one with blue, one with cheddar, with broccoli. Garnishes of sliced dill pickles and paprika mayo.
Spinach paneer. With skinny pasta brand rice. Dude. I feel like I have rice back in my life. I could probably taste the difference had I had rice recently but I can’t now.
Lunch is a spring greens mix salad with blue cheese crumble, half an onion, chopped walnuts, 4 chopped slices of bacon and a maple vinaigrette dressing. (going to tweak that last one for next time - try using bacon grease rather than olive oil as the fat source for added flavour)
Edit: YES!!! The dressing is much more savoury with melted bacon grease rather than olive oil - SO good!!! It’s easy - Melt 1-2T Bacon Grease, add your 2T low-carb syrup, 1T ACV, combine and get it off the burner quickly (the syrup will have a low smoke point)
We have a super similar lunch!
Mesclun greens, blue cheese, swerve and cinammon pecans fried in butter, and a homemade poppyseed dressing. We should compare!
