What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Candy Lind) #863

Oh, I ate quite a few of those little gems. In fact, I’m likely going to make another batch today!

Simple beef burgers, chestnut mushrooms, halloumi slice on a baby leaf salad. I’m really enjoying this WOE, I’m cooking and taking a real interest in quality over quantity. Almost three weeks in, feeling okay but even stairs make my legs weak. Didn’t weigh myself and don’t intend to but my jeans are more comfortable. Trying to keep faith that it’s taken years to get like this and will take at least months to make a significant difference.

Love the forum and the understanding that the ‘oldies’ are able to share.

Artichoke Cheese Scones

EXPERIMENTAL Made with Pork Rind flour, Muenster Cheese and frozen Artichokes. They came out less crunchy than I thought they would and could have used an additional egg as a binder. Really tasty and only 2g. of carbs. I shall forge onward towards perfection. :man_cook:t3:

I’m into ridiculous 2nd grader food faces this week. Cheesy lamb, chicken, buttered broccoli, roasted red pepper. Also added more sour cream, not pictured.

#869

Do you make the flour from the pork rinds or is that a product you order? :smirk: I probably shouldn’t be here while fasting…those look delicious :yum:

Use half a cup of fresh tomatoes mixed with chicken stock, an obscene amount of olive oil .
Plus you won’t eat all the sauce.

Got lucky on plane and in lounge today - normally I just fast but today I was really hungry, and voila: easy to deconstruct turkey club sandwich and totally indulgent dessert surprise

Hmmm, it’s been 13 hours since I ate last night and none of this photofabulous food porn looks tempting. I think I will mosey on over to June fasting fun to see what’s going on there. Enjoy your lovely meals all.

Cuisinart. I also saw a cool tip for reducing the “porky odor” grind them and stick in the freezer for about 10 minutes uncovered. Smell was completely gone!

This is my favorite thread when I’m fasting. It’s like vicarious eating

Alright calling my fast at 46 hrs…thinking I may begin another one tomorrow at noon and see if I can get a fasting protocol going where I do a couple a week :face_with_monocle:

@Sharon_E At least you aren’t watching the British Baking Show and you’re dreaming of keto foods instead! :cowboy_hat_face:

#877

I don’t watch tv. There’s people on it, lol.

(Little Miss Scare-All) #878

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
We’re mostly people, too!
British Baking shows are awesome. Paul Hollywood is kinda cute.

#879

Y’all aren’t people. You’re ketoers. There’s a difference!!

(Little Miss Scare-All) #880

@David_Stilley I love you for this tip. That has been my problem from the start–that smell. This is fabulous news.

Does it go away completely when frying?

(Full Metal KETO AF) #881

@x-Dena-x I haven’t fried them. But while I assembled the Scones I sniffed the ground rinds and they seemed miraculously odorless after 10 minutes in the freezer in an uncovered bowl. They were pretty smelly before that. No pork rind flavor either. :cowboy_hat_face:

(Little Miss Scare-All) #882

@David_Stilley thank you SO much!!! You’re great. I’m going to give those pork rind pancakes a try tnite, and will post and let ya know my findings about the porky stinks!
