What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!
Sausages wrapped in streaky bacon here in Blighty, they are seen as a rare (Christmas only) treat as they’re “bad” for you with so much fat and protein.
This is our pigs in blankets. On my plate there are some mini sausages with bacon.
Quick meal before heading to the Vet. (Shelby’s turn, but just a yearly check-up) … Chili with Cheese, and some Pecans and Chocolate. (Eat and Run meal tonight, and then back on lights when I return)
Wednesday OMAD:
1.5lb of 70/30 Ground Beef. There was also a few OZ of Raw that didn’t make the picture.
I was too lazy to go to the store and I had no idea what to cook for myself… the laziest keto omad: grab some eggs, smth from the cupboard (canned sardines), smth from the fridge (sausage and sauerkraut) and smth from the freezer (wild asparagus we foraged in May).
Yeah, but those can be some of the best meals too.
Today’s make-shift lunch… Two 1/4 lb. Hot Dogs, Cup of Pepperoni & Cheese, Pork Rinds and Potted Meat and a Coconut Bai. (From Wawa’s) … Added Pickles & also ate about 1/4 cup of Pecans.
That’s such a cool strategy! Keto bingo! Or like the wedding thing - something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue!

Just came back from my walk with Tara… first snow of the season
We just got our first snow of the year too, this past Monday. (3 days ago) Wasn’t much here either, but just enough to cover the grassy areas. But it’s just a precursor to the coming season.
@Janie Unfortunately xanthan can not replace guar in this application, as you’re using the guar to emulsify, then stabilize the fat. Guar gum is the only of the gums to do the trick here, which is why it’s used in conjunction with the konjac. I buy all my gums in the bulk section of my grocery store, so I can just get what I need, although if you decide to buy a whole bag, from Bobs Red Mill or other, it stays good for months in an airtight jar. Started with some Scallops and Shrimp…
Then some Dungeness and a few more Scallops…(Wife had one of the dungeness)
Then ate one more & saved the last 5 to make some Deviled Dungeness Crab Cakes…
