Do you live in a Crab capital? Man…out here crab is soooo expensive!

(Heather Meyer) #6521

oooohhh ahhhhhh…pretty!

#6522

Maryland, where we are actually known for our Blue Crabs. But I have a guy who orders Dungeness & Snow Crabs for me by the case, at a really good price. $25 over cost. … But I eat Blue Crabs too.

But yeah, I’ve heard they can get quite expensive in some areas. It’s one good thing about being here.

Steak and halloumi for lunch!

Dinner at the Mamma Mia musical.

Yummy, but way too much zucchini. I ate about 2/3.

Well, they have me in working a Saturday today to speak and provide training for a couple hundred Contractors for our up-coming Snow Season. So before setting everything up, and figuring it would be a long day with two sessions I will do, I decided to go get a Coffee and three Sausage-McMuffins w/ Egg. (Minus McMuffins of course) Also ate a can of Smoked Vienna’s, Peanuts and 2 Squares Ghirardelli.

That’sa big group. Do you do these trainings often? Breakfast looks yummy.

#6527

Yeah, they get me to do it pretty much every year for the Snow Training. (Both for Contractors as well as our Folks) Usually three different presentations I go through. And I do other training sessions and occasionally still have to interview with News Media, etc., mostly to due with Weather or our Pumping Stations. … But today we have 146 Trucks scheduled to come in, and most will have 2 drivers for each vehicle, since it’s mandatory they all take the training each year. Each vehicle is checked over to make sure it’s in good condition, an AVL system is installed and then they sit through my stuff. … Long day

Nothing brings excitement to my Saturday afternoon like a white-knuckle drive in torrential rain and high winds to go food shopping at Lidl :joy: with my mum in the passenger seat!

This girl needs her meat!

I apparently get that from my Grandfather. It does make things a little easier.

(Candy Lind) #6533

I’m here because I’m HUNGRY. Looking at pictures to keep me going until we get shut down for the day (in about 45 minutes). Anticipating salad, then a smothered (spinach, mushrooms, swiss) chicken breast with steamed broccoli. It’s become my favorite entree at Iron Skillet (Petro Truck Stop restaurant chain) - which means I’m deadly afraid they’ll pull it off the menu next update! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Definitely not a purchase I would make often (pretty pricey), but for those interested pros:
Reminded me of the Mom & Pop diner ice cream from childhood.
I wouldn’t ever be triggered by this to eat more than a half to a single serving at a time.
Topped with a melted concoction of coconut butter and pecan butter it created a “magic shell” topping that was delicious.
Cons:
Price
Does contain a small amount of xylitol (for me a pro & con as I can’t do anything with erythritol)
The store had a chocolate peanut butter flavor too, but I can’t have pb so just went with vanilla.

(Susan) #6535

That looks amazing for ingredients, etc, Where do you find that? I doubt I can find that here, but definitely cool =).

I looked it up and it says 4/$55 but I guess you have to buy it from them directly? Is it not available in grocery stores? How do they get it to you still frozen if you buy it from them? There is no way I can buy it at that price, but just curious.

(Jane) #6536
