What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Neil) #5350

Deconstructed taco: beef tongue, caramelized onions and guacamole. Yum!

(Troy) #5351

Chorizo and Eggs

(Brandy) #5352

5 hour smoked pork belly slices and homemade Chinese chili oil. :fire::fire::fire:

Went Tex Mex last night!
I started with halloumi cheese. Then beef short rib & mole,

A glass of wine and all very lovely!:yum:
Until… I am a grown, mature woman. So why is it when someone says “who wants a tequilla slammer”? does my arm shoot up and I hear myself say “meeeeeeee”!? Three shots later …
I am now sitting in bed with a pounding head reflecting on what I have done :no_mouth:

(Susan) #5354

I am glad that you had a fun evening out! Fried eggs and bacon are meant to be a good hangover cure… so… try that =).

(Rebecca 🌸 Frankenfluffy) #5355

Aaaaaaaaaah, the ‘one shot leads to another’ moment - I know it well!

Hope you have the chance for an easy day. Chaffles are very restorative!

(Steve) #5356

Dave, believe it or not I have never tried Spam. I see it on your plate every once in a while with a little char on it. You have inspired me, so I bought a tin to try. Should I fry it in a little bacon grease or butter?

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #5357

Shenanigans! :joy::joy::joy:
Sounds like you had a brilliant night!

(Alex ) #5358

Still perfecting my Keto energy and head rushes using the most epic strong coffee and MCT oil available…

This combination Is what I consume when I’m out working… I don’t eat anything else during the day until I get home…

and they gave me this to substantiate my addiction…

(Lazy, Dirty Keto 😝) #5359

No pics but I’m wrapping up my girls beach weekend and I managed to keep it low carb the whole time :+1:t4:

Friday night I had chicken Chesapeake (chicken with crab meat and a cream sauce) and broccoli. Last night I had braised short ribs with green beans and au jus.

('Jackie P') #5360

Haha! Yes @Momof5 I am Jackie or Jax!

I’ve heard some others mention this too, and it’s strange to hear since it’s been around for like 75 or 80 years. It’s similar to Vienna’s, Potted Meats, etc. so something we ate back when when growing up.

But yes, you can eat it just as it is out of the can, (One thing folks have always like about it and used to take on trips, camping, etc. Quick and easy and tasty.) But we do prefer to fry it up most times and we generally just fry it up in butter. But bacon grease would do just fine. (They also sell a Bacon flavor now too, along with many others. I’ll post an image below.) … Lately I’ve found the Hickory smoked flavor to be quite nice, but they have others that I haven’t tried yet, but only since they don’t stock them where we are. Hope ya like it, and look forward to seeing the pics. (Here’s a screenshot of some of the other flavors offered. I plan to order some to try them here shortly. Amazon has an assortment pack they sell.) :+1:

(Steve) #5362

Thanks Dave, I’ll fry some up for a breakfast this week. Hickory smoke and Bacon Spam, I’ll look for it. I hope I don’t get hooked

('Jackie P') #5363

I spent the morning making fish pies, 2 for mum, 1 for a dear friend in the hospice, and 1 for me later. Mine is topped with courgette and tomato slices lest I offend @KetoSnaps delicate sensitivities with a topless version again!:rofl:

But for lunch I had chaffle toast butter and marmite😋

Delicious! All those were made from 1 egg and a splash of cream! Amazing.

#5364

The Hickory Spoke and Bacon are two of the ones we have been getting as well, since they do indeed sell them where we are along with Original. Any others I would have to order on-line.

('Jackie P') #5365

In the UK I have only seen the original version. That’s an amazing array!

#5366

Yeah, I didn’t know either until I happened to run a search a few years ago and came across them. But they do charge a bit over $5+ per can, since they do know it’s not easy to come by. But I’ll still try it.

('Jackie P') #5368

I think you could make them in a frying pan like drop scones. Might be easier for sarnies too!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #5369

Do you think I could make chaffles without the waffle maker?

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #5370

Might have to give them a go! They look lovely with marmite on!!
