What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Candy Lind) #463

BT should keep the loopers at least in check so you can share the crop. :innocent:

#464

Made some ribs, and some taco beef because this dinner has no rules :yum:

(Candy Lind) #465

I was the one who asked about the eggs. I’m curious whether you would have different reactions to different eggs. I know people who can’t drink cows milk or eat cow cheese can often eat goat or sheep cheese and drink their milk. Who knows? :woman_shrugging:

(Full Metal KETO AF) #466

Hey thanks Candy. I’m not sure what BT is but I’m using an insecticide soap. It’s supposed to be safe. I think that I got most of em. :man_farmer:

(Candy Lind) #467

Bacillus thurengensis(sp?) - a microbe that kills a lot of garden pests without endangering people or furbabies. Insecticidal soap works well, too, but BT sticks around and you don’t have to re-apply as much.

Sousvide Cold Chicken Breast

Still a little hungry so I had this with Green Chili Olive Oil and a drizzle of Balsamic Vinegar with fresh Lemon Thyme and coarse Celtic Sea Salt. :man_cook:t3:

:cowboy_hat_face:

(Ernest) #469

Sous vide does justice to a chicken breast. What temp do you use?

(Alec) #470

Real men DO eat quiche

(Full Metal KETO AF) #471

@Ernest I like 149 for about 1hour, longer if it’s 1 1/2” thick. Salt it first. :cowboy_hat_face:

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #472

Lunch today is scrambled eggs with bacon strips and some keto bread! :yum:

Carnivore Days (18,19,20)

Friday: Forgot to get a picture, but it was 17 naked wings from Hooters. I was going to eat some ground beef when I got home, but really wasn’t hungry.

Saturday:

4 SUPER RARE burger patties (2lbs) from Texas Roadhouse. As my side, she brought me 2 bowls of chopped eggs (from the salads)! Have to give the waitress credit, she didn’t even flinch with my weird order … and she was even training a new employee. lol
.
.
Sunday:

1/2lb Chicken Gizzards, 1/2lb Chicken Liver, left over [fatty part of] Prime Rib from Texas Roadhouse, 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken.

(traci simpson) #474

So did you just put them in the oven on a lower temperature for a couple of hours?

#475

Omelette with spinach and cheese and a side of bacon. And then later Kirkland pulled pork with broccoli to dip in guacamole.

('Jackie P') #476

Sorry! I wasn’t sure what this was…was it the belly pork slices? I salt and pepper them and put them in at gas mark 5, turn after 30 mins then another 30 - 35 mins

#477

That is one adorable, perfectly round egg.

(Candace) #478

Yeah, the silicone cup I used to cook it makes them like that lol

Breakfast with my Son

Muenster Cheese and Ham Bun, Thick Slab Bacon and Eggs

My son stayed the night and I am pleased how well keto is affecting him. Improved speech and weight gain of 6 lbs. :+1::+1: He kept getting out the coconut flour canister so I took a hint he wanted this. He ate it 1st of course. :cowboy_hat_face:

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #480

Good news!

This is effective communication :joy:

(Full Metal KETO AF) #481

Yeah, I have gotten pretty good at knowing what he wants over the years. Verbal communication usually isn’t necessary on his end but the improvement has been in longer phrases mostly so that’s really significant. :slightly_smiling_face:

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #482

That’s awesome. I’m so glad keto is working for him, and that he enjoys it.

As a foreigner, I am a connoisseur of alternative forms of communication. Whether it be non-verbal, or just explaining around something you don’t know how to say. (When I first got here I had to refer to humidity as “water in the air.” You know, whatever works!) And adding longer phrases to the methods you guys have already worked out only makes it better.
