What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Jody) #4526

Hey … it IS a different spoon. Dang.

(Susan) #4527

LOL!! I don’t mind ground beef or hamburgers once in a while, but I could not eat them daily like you do, hehe.

('Jackie P') #4528

Shocking!:slightly_frowning_face:

(Susan) #4529

Maybe you could look up ideas online to get rid of them.

@CrackerJax At my age I know when the battle is lost, take what you have left and go home. Next time I plant a garden I will line the beds with a galvanized wire grid or use containers. I had expanded this year with new beds but they sense water and dig towards it and found them. They had never tunneled there when rosemary was all that was growing in that bed. I tore out a 30+ year old rosemary tree that was on it’s last leg and planted a bunch of tempting plants I guess. They decimated my Parsley, Thai Basil, Onion Chives, Mexican Tarragon, Sweet Basil, started on my thyme at the end and killed the tomato bush. I barely saved the thyme, it got half eaten in one night. I didn’t mind sharing a little with the bugs but the gophers are too greedy. I guess they go for what they like best first and settle for whatever’s left when the good stuff is gone! It was very systematic.

Gopher kebabs on rosemary skewers?

(Rebecca 🌸 Frankenfluffy) #4532

LOVED this dip! Dill, a hard boiled egg, mayonnaise and chives, whizzed until very smooooooooth. Perfect enrobement material for blanched homegrown runner beans.

Made the Scotch eggs a couple of days ago when I was making meatloaf. I love two-different-dishes recipes!

Deviled eggs and turkey/beef parm & rosemary meatballs for when I break my fast (looking like 48hrs this go round).

#4534

Roasted ham topped with cheddar and two eggs fried in butter, in a chaffle, dipped in Dijon mustard.

#4535

Nice :+1:

Wife made Cabbage Lasagna today, so I picked up some Shrimp to go with it. And though she said it was a weird combination, I think it went quite well. There’s no wrongs in my eyes with good foods.

(Kristen Ann) #4536

Weird. I literally just ate leftover cabbage lasagna with some shrimp.

#4537

I can eat shrimp pretty much every day in various forms if it’s not over cooked.

The cabbage lasagne - layers of cabbage and what else? That sounds good. It’s conjuring up some ideas.

Layers of cabbage with thin slices of smoked sausage and something else… thank your wife for the inspiration!

(Liz) #4538

Oh, these look lovely…are they from Waitrose? Think I have seen them there…if so I will be buying later this week!

('Jackie P') #4539

Do you mean the eggs? Both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s sell them.:slightly_smiling_face:

(Rebecca 🌸 Frankenfluffy) #4540

Experimental slow cooker aubergines parmigiana - dealing with a glut of aubergines and tomatoes from my parents’ greenhouse.

Loads of cheese in here too. Let’s see what it looks like this evening!

(If all else fails, this morning’s hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs and mushrooms might sustain me until tomorrow morning!)

(Steve) #4541

Well that looks yummy! Did you get your heat & timing down on the iron?

(Liz) #4542

Thanks so much @CrackerJax, on my shopping list :+1:

#4543

Thanks! No, not yet. I got closer on the heat. I think i need to turn it down a bit more and be more patient. I used too little mix to fill it up again too but I’m learning!

(squirrel-kissing paper tamer) #4544

Frozen Brussels sprouts attempting to be saved with Alfredo and mozzarella cheese :face_with_raised_eyebrow: and bacon chips :stuck_out_tongue: for breakfast.

Update: NO on the Brussels sprouts. Why are they so bitter?? Back to fresh only for this gal.

(Steve) #4545

I use a scale to get the exact amount of egg and cheese, they turn out perfectly the same every time for me.
38 grams beaten egg, 30 grams cheese and 8 minutes on the chaffle iron.
