What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Wendy) #4345

Okay yesterday I made Carrie Brown’s sour cream and chive bisquits. They are VERY tasty. I’m not a great cook. (Insert very slow) And I was missing one ingredient, but I still loved them.
I had them at my mom’s with her sausage and bisquits. (Sausage gravy made with flour and milk so not Keto) I had some with just butter and really enjoyed them.

Sunday breakfast is a beef taco salad with iceberg, onion, cilantro, tomato, spices, cheese and green salsa. Yum!

I don’t drink, so is the vodka still alcoholic when you eat it? Or is that the good part about it? :stuck_out_tongue:

Beef kabob. Marinated overnight - delish!

Thank you. The only sugar substitutes that were at the grocery store (Wegmans) was steevia, monk fruit granules, Splenda, Equal, or Sweet and Low. I went with the Steevia.

I separated it into three small containers and put them in the fridge. Then took one out and froze it for about an hour before serving. It was like soft serve. I tasted it and it was good. My husband liked it. My recipe only has four ingredients - coconut milk, eryithol, vanilla and salt. Someone on here shared a recipe for ice cream with cream (and maybe eggs). If anyone can pass that along again, I would appreciate it. The recipe I used was good but tasted more like coconut than vanilla.

That sounds so good!

(Marianne) #4351

Yes, it’s straight alcohol. I don’t think with half an oz. divided by three is going to get me anywhere. I don’t know if it kept it from freezing hard or not. I only froze it for about an hour.

Sous vide pork belly.
170 degrees for 9 hours with a quick sear to crisp it up. Served with a tamari reduction sauce and fried Chinese eggplant

Lunch with mum at the Victory Inn. Tapas starter.

Roast lamb and vegetables. Did a deal with mum, her beans for my carrots!

(Tyler) #4354

Mixed up some Keto friendly taco seasoning and added it to some ground turkey with cheese and sour cream. Also a serving of Keto Coleslaw that I had left over from yesterday. Very good

Mum roasted a chicken this afternoon so I had that with cabbage greens and cheese sauce!

Lunch is a burger patty covered in cheese, bacon, mushrooms and grilled onion.

@Happyheart- I make these biscuits for all of the glucose burners in my life and they lose their minds every time! Yours look great!

(Brandy) #4360

@Keto6468- Usually when folks add vodka, it remains uncooked, so nothing is burning off, but you’re using such a tiny amount (1/2 fl. oz. or 1 Tbl.) in the entire recipe that you really can’t taste it. With that said, it only serves the purpose of avoiding a rock hard freeze. If you’re using allulose or xylitol as your sweetener, the alcohol is unnecessary.

Scrambled Eggs with Creole Sauce and Sausage

Unless you’re like me and try to add a couple shots of Bourbon, it takes a full 24 hours to freeze but so good! :cowboy_hat_face:

(Brandy) #4363

@David_Stilley - Just the smell of Bourbons and whiskeys turn my stomach. Which is unfortunate because people who like it really, really love it- to the point that a person (like me) might experience actual envy over the whole thing. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Same here! I’d love to be able to sip on one of those with ice clinking around the glass but it just ain’t for me!
