Hehe, yes! I don’t mind it at all but like just once in a while, not all the time =).
I am eating Beef Liver for lunch because I had a bunch that we got for free in the freezer (from friends of ours that are Beef farmers). My hubby asked me to cook it for him one day this week, so I cooked two packs and cut up some for me, measured one cup so I could put it on cronometer. I cooked 1 cup green cabbage with it too, fried it all in butter, and added Avocado Mayo on top.
I will cook onions and potatoes for hubby to have with his at supper.
@Momof5 You will make your life so much easier and tracking more accurate if you buy a $15 digital kitchen scale. Good on you for eating some liver today!
That sounds really good as well. There are a few veggies I miss on the carnivore and cabbage is one. (I miss salads w/ my steaks when we eat out as well. lol)
I eat a LOT of liver (mostly chicken) I can go through about 3 lbs a week.
Usually I can figure out pretty exact measurements with my measuring cups/spoons for what they request for measurements on the Cronometer though. I do have an old fashioned kitchen scale but I never use it. Maybe one day -I am trying not to buy too much extra atm is all.
That is the reason I could not personally do Carnivore, I have cut way back on my vegetables since Keto (of course) but I still really love having some vegetables =).
I get that. I really switched because I was stalled on Keto but when I moved to Carnivore, I dropped about 20 lbs in the first 2 months. I can miss some veggies / salads for that
What if you have some once in a while? Would that mess you up? Was it having carbs that affected you? I noticed that putting my lunch into Cronometer I am terrified of having the Liver again… it is high in carbs =(. I thought meat was low or zero carb in general… =((.
I try not to “cheat” … I have more trouble stopping than I do not starting.
Remember … liver is where you Glycogen … that’s why it has a higher carb count.
@Momof5 It has carbs but the other benefits outweigh some carbs. You don’t have to eat it all in one day.
Okay, no idea what Glycogen is I will have to look that up…
Eeek, this is my Cronometer so far for today, now I am scared to even eat supper, no idea what I could have now…
Any ideas what I can still eat for supper at 4:45 with what I have already had today?

Oh okay, thanks for the definition =). I am giving the rest to my hubby for supper anyway. He loves it! I just was thinking since I was making it for him I would try some too. I haven’t had any in ages. I used to eat it once in a while when I was pregnant because I had read somewhere it was good to occasionally when pregnant =).
My 36 hour fast was a big fail. I woke up ravenous and feeling unwell, so I just broke my fast after 18 hours with this rolled cheese omelette with a little Crema and cayenne, as well as this bacon wrapped asparagus. The veg was getting a little shriveled in the fridge. The heat didn’t do it any favors in the looks department, but it sure tasted fine.
