As someone who saw my spice rack said “Did you rob a Penzey’s Store?”
LOL. But we buy their black and white peppercorns and mix them in our grinder. Awesome flavor.

Yesterday I made Beef and Broccoli (heavy on the steak). I used Braggs seasoning and ginger and thickened it with arrowroot powder. My grandson had his over jasmine rice.
Tonight I am having chopped radishes (hash browns) fried in lots of butter, 4 eggs, 1/2 lb bacon and half an avocado.
Jane, I’ve only had this happen twice and I just threw another egg in and it blended up fine. Also, my new trick is putting the oil in the container first and then drop the egg. It slowly drifts to the bottom and doesn’t break.
The anaphylactic shock did hit me @David_Stilley I got taken to hospital at 10:30pm last night in an ambulance! I was in a bad way!
Haha i definitely fell over last night! it all got a bit dramatic in my house after I posted this. Long story short I’m sitting in hospital waiting for blood tests. Got some nice shiners on my head from collapsing a few times.
There’s a bar of Montezuma’s hemp & sea salt chocolate up for grabs if you’re interested?!? xx
Thanks, Doug. I understand what you say about the regular shakers and they are a pain indeed. … I will be looking into this one, thanks again for the info.
You and me both! … I’ve found being Keto I actually enjoy Pepper so much more than I used to.
Thanks, David. I actually looked at some of those too, just never pulled the trigger on any. Actually looked at a couple of the electronic ones, but wasn’t sure they were worth the money, and there’s always the chance of something breaking with those. Thanks again.
Omg Claire poor you! I do wish you well. Thats shocking!
Don’t let em feed you any carbs!
Pepper grinders are the bane of my life. Some years ago my brother bought me a set of Peugeot ones, which are supposed to be gold standard. They still packed up!
Now I just buy them prepacked and refill them.
Yes. The podcast recipe basically
they offered me the good old standard NHS breakfast and I kindly declined!! I guess you could say I fasted until lunch!
I’m home from the hospital so today’s lunch/breakfast is exactly what I fancy. Creamy coffee, scrambled eggs, halloumi and bacon strips!
Carnivore Day 18
(the other half of Wednesdays meal)
1/2 Rotisserie Chicken, 1/2lb ground meat (covered in the browned ghee from the livers), 1/2lb chicken livers, 1/2lb chicken gizzards … and the addition of 2 super SOFT boiled eggs (yes, there is only one pictured because I ate the other while peeling it ).
Wombat* steak and broccoli. I have bought and eaten all the real steak at Walmart and they haven’t ordered any more yet. So a different brand of wombat steak for dinner. It wasn’t terrible! Not something I’d buy if real steak was available, but cooked in tonnes of butter, salt and cumin, and with a small head of broccoli, not a bad dinner after a long day!
*Not actually wombat steak. Just unnaturally round and thinly sliced “steak”.
You’re a tough cookie, so great that you’re maintaining a sense of humor about it.
KCKO! seriously though if anyone wants this chocolate bar they can have it! Its making me sad it’ll go to waste!
Obviously one of the first questions I got asked this morning was ‘has this keto diet triggered your allergies?!’
Goodness Clare I’m glad you’re OK. I think keto might be the ultimate elimination diet. Especially if you go carnivore. It shouldn’t be triggering allergies. Although good to know that this chocolate bar may be a problem for some
