I passed my boat leader’s and VHF station licenses yesterday, so my husband treated me to a lchf dessert (my husband’s ice cream is normal, diabetes causing ;)), chocolate pannacotta and chocolate mousse. I probably blew all my carbs for the day, but I decided to live a little

Hehe that is so cute. Gabriella has taken the habit of saying “no thanks, it is not on my diet” if there is something that she doesn’t want to eat…
I have been trying not to ever say that now, I have to be very mindful what I say as she is a little mimic.
She loves an English children’s show on youtube called “Steve and Maggie” and his bird is Maggie, and he reprimands her saying, “You naughty naughty bird” so Gabriella will say “you naughty naughty grandpa” to my hubby if he is teasing her. It is actually very cute, hehe.

This morning I had my eggs with organically grown courgette (zucchini) courtesy of my friend Linda who has an allotment and grows her own veggies. I donate my chicken sh1t and she gives me veg

Spent all morning watching Saturday Morning Kitchen, and all the other cooking programmes! I don’t know why, half of its carbage but I still like it!
But it made me hungry so I have eaten early today!
Chevre blanc wrapped in parma ham and fried to crispy heaven, all gooey inside. And fried fingers of avocado with a pork scratchings, sesame and chilli coating . A couple of lettuce leaves and a few cherry tomatoes to make it pretty for it’s photo shoot, and a couple of dollops of mayo!

@CrackerJax That looks very tasty. My plates never look as nice as yours, and I worked restaurants for years. I guess I got tired of making perfect plated food and I get lazy at home now because I am anxious to eat while it’s hot so I tend to dump, shoot and chow.

No picture, I was too busy eating last night to take a pic. Sometimes truck stop eating is a happy surprise. We stopped at the Petro in York, NE. They had prime rib on the buffet, and it was the best hunk of meat I’ve had at a truck stop in a lonnnng time. Medium rare, super tender, not cooked to shoe leather! Nice big salad with our homemade dressing & a serving of green beans in butter. Wayne also had some baked whitefish. The rest of the buffet had carbs numbering in the millions, but we were happy campers!

Well thank you @David_Stilley, but I don’t agree! I think everything you cook looks great, and I particularly like your descriptions. I suppose, for both of us, it’s lovely to see and imagine somerhing we would not necessarily cook ourselves. That’s the beauty of this thread which is my favourite!
Haha, I must say, I do take a little more care plating my food ready for it’s photo shoot, so I appreciate the compliment, thank you

Today has been mental…Poor mum went off to hospital this morning in an ambulance…She’s staying in for the time being. It’s my daughter’s birthday party tomorrow so I’ve been desperate to get ready for it knowing my poor mum is stuck in hospital. I didn’t make the cake I so wanted to make but the presents are wrapped and the scooter is ready. All the snacks are bought I just have to pick up the sandwiches in the morning. In a desperate attempt to keep my calories up today I managed to make this for dinner. I don’t need anymore reasons for my hair to be falling out!

We’re going to make it a brilliant day regardless of the circumstances, mum is in the best place getting the care she needs and that’s the main thing.
