What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

#1387

Wife and I were speaking at lunch about trying something different. So she cooked up some hamburger and added minced Mushrooms and Broccoli, and added some Rao’s Vodka Sauce (First time trying this type) and then added Cheese and Bacon for the topping. (I’m not complaining at all about her cutting up the Mushrooms very small since she actually ate it with it like this, so that in itself is well worth it! ) She’ll get there!

Had a small Salad first, and added some Pickles, Olives and Deviled Eggs w/Bacon to finish it off.

How was the vodka sauce? I have a jar of it in my pantry and haven’t tried it yet. I love their other sauces.

Similar to what my husband made for himself a few days ago. Stir-fried steak with spinach, celery and pepitas and finished off with some cream to make the sauce.

The celery and pepitas give it a nice crunch, which I miss sometimes resting keto all the time. Our foods are mostly soft - meat, cheese, eggs, avocados, etc.

I think it was pretty good myself. She used the whole jar since it wasn’t big, so I didn’t get to taste it on it’s own. But it tasted nice with the meal. … I too like the others we’ve tried, just wish they carried more than three at the local store we go to. But we also look when we stop in other places. Or will just order from Amazon.

That looks very good. Sometimes I just like very little sauce, so it doesn’t take over the taste of the meat itself. And this looks to be perfect for that. Like eating the meat in it’s own juices, with very little else.

Market breakfast - Efficiency is buying everything for breakfast within a few metres of each other. Lago bacon and hot Debricener sausage from WR Kings, and local eggs from the egg dudes in B-shed. Topped with Himalayan pink salt. #perfectketo

Fathead Friday’s.

(Mike W.) #1394

Also we didn’t want anyone to accuse us of not feeding our baby “baby food” so we gave her some “cereal puffs” (pork rinds) :joy: to go with her fathead pizza, chicken, and cheese.

(Running from stupidity) #1395

OK, so I’ve now put the CORRECT nutritional data in for the pizza last night.

See, it was basically my wife’s fault. She left the topping cheese off the data she sent to me on Whatsapp, and then later told be to add 200g cheese, which I did. But, of course, I should only have added 50 as we had a quarter.

Women! #amirite?

I didn’t know you could even BUY beef heart. I’d try it!

(Cindy) #1397

The food I eat is never pretty enough to take a picture. :frowning:

#1398

Bah - have a go. Some of mine are dodgy as but plenty of weirdos here who’d appreciate it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Running from stupidity) #1399

Who cares, right? Just show what you ate! I get ideas from here, I don’t come to admire the lighting and post-processing

(Cindy) #1400

Ok, next time I eat (who knows when that’ll be? YEAH keto!), I’ll grab my phone and snap a pic.

The freak content doesn’t hurt that shot at all

Also, LOL @ #nofilter

I took a few of my employees to breakfast this morning (no reason, other than it’s Friday!) and the menu was extremely carb heavy (they have a breakfast bar I used to love where you could load up as much fruit and sweetened cream etc as you wanted, but that was now off limits, of course).

I opted for a Dungeness crab Oscar omelette. Mouthwateringly good. I asked for a side of the crème fraîche as well and poured it all on the omelette (which was already swimming in it). No regrets.

Dungeness crab, organic asparagus, local havarti cheese, organic leeks, roasted local garlic, tarragon crème fraîche.

I was unaware it came with toast and potatoes (not mentioned on the menu) so I gave the toast to one of our party and left the potatoes feeling miserable on the plate.

Can neither confirm nor deny that I was thinking of you as I typed that
