It definitely has it’s charms but it won’t be winning any beauty contests

Very proud - my first keto cinnamon whirls for breakfast, with yogurt icing. Delicious and surprisingly filling.

Pizza! Yes, pizza. Complete with mozzarella, bacon, parmesan, capsicum, passata, mushroom, hot Hungarian salami and jalapenos. Served with a hand-prepared all-natural chicken sausage and a garden salad featuring perfectly ripe avocado.

Third day of 1MAD. That’s why I added the chicken sausage. Also, they are awesome chicken sausages…

@gatita
Would you share the recipe?

(Janelle) #1372

These look awesome. I’ll have to look for a recipe.

#1373

Dunno, I just rather enjoy doing OMAD. So when I do, I make sure to get enough in. And would rather have too much, then too little. - Plus, the pups usually like this thinking as well. … But I did go down in the basement and worked out for about an hour and a half though. Just some time on the Treadmill and then the Total Gym, and the wife even joined me.

(Karen) #1374

Any herbs with that?

(Jane) #1375

We have a lot of spice blends from Penzey’s and some from Pendery’s (local spice shop in Fort Worth) and he used a Penzey one called Northwoods. It has salt, paprika, black pepper, thyme, rosemary, garlic and chipotle.

He also added some extra smoked paprika.

It was kind of loosely based on this one:

But I ended up adding more almond flour, some coconut flour and an extra egg because the dough seemed too fragile. They come out very soft and delicate.

I forgot to mention that they were freaking delicious!!! Not in that this-is-OK-for-a-low-carb-substitute kind of way, but actually plain old really delicious.

#1377

I posted one below. I mean above. lol

(Cindy) #1378

I’m boring. 2 scrambled eggs with a tsp hwc, bacon pieces, cooked in Amish butter. Trying to figure out if Amish butter actually tastes any different than what I regularly buy.

(Allie) #1379

I just broke my 70 hour fast with sliced beef heart and homemade mayo. Forgot to take a pic until after I started eating it :joy:

(Joanna Parszyk ) #1380

Many thanks darling gatita!
I also have found this one!

Very similar but more tips how to handle.

#1381

Oh thanks, I love her recipes. Almost all I’ve tried have come out really good. Also, I saw one video where they piped the gnocchi from a pastry bag into the boiling water. Might work best.

(Ellen) #1382

Oddly the thought of heart doesn’t squick me out like most offal, but not sure about cooking it, your posts make me think about trying though.

(Deborah ) #1383

Actually, I thought the steak in the first pic looked a bit overdone. I like my steak extremely rare; seared on the outside, cool in the center. (Or “blue steak” as a friend used to call it.)

(Ellen) #1384

Anything past rare is over cooked imo

#1385

Having issues uploading today :exploding_head:

Anyhoo - 2MAD yesterday starting with liverwurst/hot mustard on flax muffin with roasted almonds, cornichons & fresh-from-the-garden radish with lurpak & salt :yum: Dinner was lamb burger with tzatziki on haloumi salad.

#1386

Me too!
