Wow! Care to share the recipe?
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
This was from just over two weeks ago and seems amusing in hindsight now (âI considered that to be lava?â).
For this meal, we went to a Sichuan hot pot place just north of Seattle that specializes in grilled fish, and it was not only amazing but insanely spicy â to the point that my wife found it too spicy, and sheâs normally the one that mocks what other people consider to be hot. I really enjoyed the spiciness and was able to polish most of this keto-friendly meal off. Underneath all the various spices was a grilled fish, surrounded by four types of mushroom, pork belly, spam, various other meats, and shrimp. My mouth was virtually numb afterwards and my throat on fire for hours, but it was delicious.
When itâs fillet steak which had low fat content. Smother it in bĂ©arnaise sauce. Job done!
That looks awesome!
Maybe weâll have to plan a PNW Meat-up and go there! Whatâs the name of the place?
After a âdelightfulâ 7.5hr drive, tonight was just a McDâs drive thru, looking forward to not having to cook for non keto Mum and just having what I want.
That would be great!
The place is called JoyFish. Honestly some of the best hot pot Iâve ever had, and Iâve eaten it hundreds of times (many of which were in mainland China).
Iâll put it on the list for when we come up from Oregon to visit family. Maybe Iâll invite a good (non-keto) friend whose wife is also from Sichuan ProvinceâŠshe cooks for us occasionally, but keeps her foot off the chilies gas pedal because her hubbyâs a bit of a wuss.
you need to mix together (not with a bleder, but with spoon) this following ingredients: 250 ml whipping cream, 250 ml water, 5 spoons of cocoa, 10 spoons of chia seeds, 3 spoons of erythritol (or other sweetner you like) and a little bit of vanilla extract (optional). You mix it once and wait for a few minutes than mix it once again, so the seeds donât stay at the bottom.
Now you fill up 4 glasses with this mixture and leave them in the fridge for 1 hour. (i couldnât wait so i started eating after 1/2 hour :D)
Itâs one of those âtakes way less time to do it than to explain itâ things
Jaffas!
I think he was referring to those chocolate balls made to look like an orange that you whack and it falls out into slices. I used to adore those damn things! Maybe they donât do them down under.
Itâs probably the penal colony status. The first one I ever had was in England and it was made by Cadbury.
It is the answer to a great many questions, that answer. A GREAT many.
Breaking a 96 hr. fast tonight, so starting out with a Big Chicken/Bacon/Pepperoni salad. And yes, my salad bowl is as big as a dinner plate.
But as you can see below, I have a bit of a problem. ⊠Apparently my dinner plates are too bloody small! - Nah, just kidding. I placed it on there to cut it in half, since it wouldnât fit the pan. Besides, this is actually just half of the original piece, which had to be cut in half, since it wouldnât fit into the vacuum sealer.
Top Sirloin & Fired Onions⊠But I only ate about 3/4 of if and the pups got some nice treats from this one. Especially since I took the fattier half on the left, as shown above. (Minus the Onions of course)
By the way, my hotdogs are sugar free, all natural uncured beef from cows grassfed and finished and antibiotics free. I can taste the difference
