I close off the rest of the house when I’m cooking steak in the cast iron. I usually either sous vide it for a couple hours at 140 then do a quick sear or I sear it in the pan then into the oven on broil for a couple minutes or so per side . Option 2 gets really smoky.
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
We saw these a while back too, and found we can get them from Aldi’s near us, but haven’t tried them out just yet. Good to hear you like them. … Also saw the same link @OgreZed posted above & thought to try making some as well, and maybe tweaking them some. Maybe incorporating some ground Pork Rinds or something? (I always did prefer wraps, and used to make all kinds of stuff in them.)
OMAD meal tonight was a bit of a mixture of leftovers, with some other stuff thrown in. Long day…
Large Salad with meats, Hamburger with Ketchup, a Cheese Burger/Italian Sausage and piece of London Broil from the Grill yesterday. Shrimp and some Dungeness Crab with melted butter.
Vanilla mug cake with cinnamon, freshly ground nutmeg and cardamom.
Topped with berries and clotted cream.
Smoked Brisket
I’m watching my son tonight and his mom surprised me with some excellent Smoked Brisket and cole slaw that wasn’t sweet and needed some doctoring, I just had to fix it. Even back when I ate everything I thought this place had great BBQ and awful sides!
You don’t really need that smokey hot pan. Just dry your steak really well. I use medium heat to sear steak. Dry steak surface, good sear
First meal of the day.
Gypsy ham, x3 fried eggs, 1/2 an avo + marinated feta, a wedge of lime, fresh herbs from the garden, and a dash of chipotle tobasco sauce.
Oh good! I had a cheeky taste of it this morning and you’re right! It does taste better!
