My new favorite: sardines “savor”
We finally decided to prepare sardines at home ( i always felt like they’re such a hassle) and use leftovers for a common dish. 
I tweaked the recipe a little due to lack of ingredients, but it was still delicious. It tasted like our local dish, “beef salad,” which is composed of meat from beef soup, onions, eggs, spices, vinegar and oil.
I removed the spines from sardines and placed them in a dish. I heated a little olive oil, sautéed one small onion, 2 garlic cloves, capers and parsley and poured it over the sardines, added more olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. If i would have had some pinot griggio, I would have added about 100ml to sauteed onions before adding the mixture to sardines. Overnight in the fridge, delicious
