What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Tamela Robinette) #7312

Stopped at my favorite watering hole for some day drinking and was close to my eating window. Knew drinking on an empty stomach was not a good idea but they had this…

I knew you would be happy with that…even though you decided you wanted to have egg salad instead of deviled eggs.

(Full Metal KETO AF) #7314

It’s easy, just see other people’s chickens as food! Besides it’s different if they’re wrapped in paper or in a styrofoam tray than it is when they’re running around your back yard laying eggs for you, that’s family. :cowboy_hat_face:

Not sure what to call this. Pizza Toppings, maybe. I had some sliced mushrooms that needed to be used up so I sautéed them with butter, topped with a spoonful of marinara sauce and mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. 6.8g carbs

ETA: Hahaha, my son just told me it looks disgusting! It tasted good though!

I love the idea/look of this style of omelette. Been meaning to try for a while.:+1:
I just looked up recipes and see they are all done on the stove top. I remember seeing some though that were done in an oven on a large sheet pan. Will have to search around for where I saw that. The stove top pan would be the most efficient for a quick weekday meal. Maybe the oven style would feed more people…

I get a bit of a hard time for taking selfies with my cat. I see you’ve one-upped me. :rooster::+1:

(Mandy) #7318

I just Googled this and I had no idea it existed! Add to cart! Thanks for the tip!

#7319

But then the stove and counter tops and everything else won’t have that lovely sheen when you wipe them off.

Yeah, I used to be a veggie… I love my greasy kitchen now.

I wish I had egg hens! I’d give up poultry again for that. Thank you for giving them a happy life!

#7321

Worked most 13 hours today and this is all I had the energy to make, a salad with pepperoni and a bunch of hard boiled eggs that I’m eating in my mostly dark living room so I had to use flash photography. Not pictured is a lime seltzer mixed with rum because this day was the type of day that needs a cocktail and rum is all we have.
A lady tipped me today with a bag of ghiradelli chocolate mint squares and I didn’t have a single one. I simple set them on the break room counter and said “enjoy” and the next time I went in they were gone, lol. Before I would have devoured them.

Winner Winner? Grocery Store Chicken Dinner

I went to San Francisco today for a dental appointment, I can eat regular chewy food again…Yay!! I stopped on the way home and got the bird. Pictured with homemade pickles and sauerkraut, kalamata olives and bleu cheese. :cowboy_hat_face:

We raise all our own food, it will pass. There is a difference between our breeding/pets and our food animals which kicks in. We have our laying hens, whom I love to pieces and are part of lives. Meat birds… I feed and move on. Chickens are the easiest that way. And hogs… they are cute when little but not overly nice when grown. Cattle a little tougher but like we teach the kids… they were lucky to have us during their lives as we truly loved and treated them well. I have had special bonds with many and many tears have been shed. But anyone whom buys our meat should be proud to eat.

Normally I don’t even take pics of myself but it was a good way to get Maud to stay still!

(Allie) #7325

Raised with love and respected, they are the lucky ones for sure

@Acnickel it’s here!! Time to start the matcha!

(Lazy, Dirty Keto 😝) #7327

My mom was just talking about matcha when she was in town a couple weeks ago. She has issues with IBS and has been doing low carb since I told her it helped me with my IBS symptoms, but she’s been gaining weight even though she’s doing everything right from what I can tell. She had to have a hysterectomy when she was maybe early 40’s, and she mentioned that her lack of estrogen may be her issue? I’m (gladly) nowhere near menopause so I can’t really relate, but she said that matcha is supposed to help regulate your hormones? I haven’t read up on it but I really hope it works for her. She used to be a mail carrier for over 30 years and she does exercise and all that, so the fact that she’s gaining weight sucks. If this is what I have to look forward to when I start going through menopause, I’m not interested :upside_down_face:

I’m drinking mine right now!
This is my favorite brand but the grocery just stopped selling it, only I just found out they sell it in a bigger bulk bag on amazon and other places. :grinning:

Tastes the best, not the most affordable, but not as expensive as ceremonial, yet very smooth and bright in flavor

Ahh bless her! How long has she been doing keto for?
Well done to her for giving it a go though…my poor mum is suffering really badly with rheumatoid arthritis and no matter how much I tell her to sort her diet out, she just won’t do it. :frowning:

We have all this lovely stuff to look forward to don’t we Beccs?! :joy:

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #7330

Can’t wait to try it! I shall report back soon and let you know how it went!

(Lazy, Dirty Keto 😝) #7331

She’s been doing it maybe since November or so? And aw bless your mom too, I hope she does get her diet sorted out as it may help her!
