What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Sophie) #622

Yeah, I totally get it, but sometimes a decoration is nice. I don’t take the time to dress up my dishes very often.

#623

Hi I’m wondering if you could share the recipe for the shrimp dish. Also what is that dish with the little white chips on it?

(Running from stupidity) #624

Seems like that helps everything, so why not macadamias, eh?

Or as Homer would say ( [Bart’s Dog Gets an F - S02E16): “Macamadamia nuts!”

#625

Is easy indeed :slightly_smiling_face:

In a bowl combine:
6 cups shredded crisp cos/romaine lettuce (can use some baby spinach too)
4 chopped spring onions
Halved cherry tomatoes to taste
Crumbled bacon to taste
Black pepper/salt to taste

Dressing:
Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons bacon drippings with 1 1/2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar.

Pour hot dressing over greens, toss to combine & serve immediately.

Serves 4 (apparently!)

FP meal 2. Changed my mind on the lamb, did wings with Kerrygold buffalo sauce instead. Chart House blue cheese dressing is in the wings (get it? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) for the celery.

Blackened Spanish Chorizo with locally-sourced bacon and two delicately-poached eggs, perfectly-seasoned with hand ground pepper and Himalayan pink salt.

The answer is always sous vide first.

Take-out Indian. Samundhari Korma (mixed seafood) over my own coconut cauli rice.

BACK of the line, sunshine.

#633

80/20 cheeseburger with onions, chilli cornichons & sriracha - possibly a bit too much sriracha

(Karen) #634

Oh my gosh food porn!! People you’ve really stepped up your game. The photography is great. The color. So yummy

(Karen) #635

Chicken feta spinach sausage, fresh garden tomatoes, broccoli, onions, block cream cheese

All served over spaghetti squash

(The amazing autoimmune 🦄) #636

My first attempt at fried chicken keto style. So good especially with homemade blue cheese dressing

(Running from stupidity) #637

Lettuce hamburger bomb: a mixture of pork and beef mince is lovingly handcrafted into a single patty, then topped with a shredded three-cheese mix, market-sourced bacon, pickled jalapenos, fire-roasted capsicum, sitting on a base of pureed avocado and lemon zest and encased in a fresh iceberg lettuce leaf.

You’ll, ahhh, have to take my word about the contents. Taking it apart to show the interior was basically deconstructing it. Eating it as is was simple enough, though.

#638

You wrapped that expertly

(Running from stupidity) #639

My kitchen skillz are to die for

#640

I guess it is slightly tidier than mine

#641

That looks like proper comfort food - yummo :yum:
