What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Christy) #6086

I’ve been busy & slacking lately. Time to get serious! OMAD today, so this is my breakfast & lunch … & maybe dinner.

(Full Metal KETO AF) #6087

@christylaine Ah, I love a hot mug of pig in the early morning. :cowboy_hat_face:

My adventures in meat eating moved on to bacon today! First day off in 7 days so I made my first plate of eggs and animal bacon in 23 years. I feel like veggie bacon has a better bacon flavor, but at least the real bacon is just… bacon. Not a hodge-podge of flavors and soy. I figure if I’m experimenting with meat eating, I’m going to try to make it as close to natural as I can afford.
On a related note, I feel like my dogs have never loved me as much as they did the moment I split a piece of bacon between them.

(Christy) #6089

Works 10/10 times lol.

(Diane) #6090

There’s nothing happier than a happier dog!

(Allie) #6091

I’m still being lazy, so lazy I’ve not even been taking pics to post.

(Little Miss Scare-All) #6092

I noticed this trend lol. You’re missed.

(Allie) #6093

Awww thanks

I’ll try and make more of an effort with my repetitive meals :joy:

(Little Miss Scare-All) #6094

I haven’t even been on the forum that long at all, and I think I have like 12 pictures of scrambled eggs, so I think you’re good

#6095

 Let’s not even start comparing relative repetitive meals. I don’t think I can even count just how many images of one of my go to meals (Eggs, Bacon and Sausage) that I’ve posted. But again, I also post all my meals, since it creates a record of consumption in case I ever need to look back.

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #6096

Welcome to the dark side @Acnickel :laughing:

(Diane) #6097

:smirk:

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #6098

Repetitive is good!! Repetitive is what keeps us on track! We all have our go-to meals and I love seeing each and every picture. As long as we’re still keto, staying on track and reaching our goals then being on the repetition :joy::heart_eyes:

#6099

Haha… It is one of the times you don’t normally see those little fellas, huh? … Not to say they don’t join in from time to time. But yes, usually the Eggs and meats do me well. But later meals are where the Green Guys really shine!

:+1: … I concur. … Even more so whilst Fasting. Gets the ideas flowing even more. My wife has mentioned before, that not all my food choices for meals, are generally something you see together, but as I’ve told her, as long as it’s Keto, it all goes well!

(Allie) #6100

This was the ultimate in repetitive.

I made up a mix of ground beef, shredded cheese, eggs, tomato paste, chilli powder, salt & pepper - added in some ghee just because I wanted to, added in some water so prevent it drying out, left it in the slow cooker overnight, then ate it daily for five days straight.

This is the final portion that’s been in the fridge for a week because I couldn’t face it :joy: reheated and topped with homemade mayo.

(Full Metal KETO AF) #6101

I was starting to wonder what happened to you @Shortstuff :cowboy_hat_face:

#6102

@Acnickel I want you to know I have always been impressed that you would make the effort to eat a ketogenic diet, being a vegetarian (given how much meat is a part of the diet). However, I must admit, that I almost jumped up and did a little dance when I saw bacon on your plate.

I love the fact that you’ve experimented more with meat, but most importantly I want you to eat what’s healthiest for you. You may not have realized it, but you are very inspiring, and I appreciate that.

(Candy Lind) #6103

I need to devise a way to eat more fatty fish, & we have some (18!) cans of sardines that neither of us like “nekkid” - so … tuna and sardine salad with mayo, mustard, celery, pickle & flax seeds, scooped with chicharrones and celery. If you’re curious, the sardines virtually disappear. Using the fancy china! Olives will follow.

(Diane) #6104

Do you put raw ground beef into the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients?

(Allie) #6105

To be honest @David_Stilley, I’ve been having a rough time the last few weeks with massive changes at work and issues in my personal life too… trying to get back on track this week.
