Yes ma’am.! Melt the butter, stir in an egg, salt, a little sweetener if you like, then 2 tablespoons of your favorite keto flour, and a little baking soda. Stir thoroughly!
Microwave for one minute. Slice in half, this is the tricky part because it’s not very thick depending on the size of your bowl.
I bought some oat fiber “flour”. It’s very fine and behaves like flour. Picked it up on Amazon
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
Karen!! This is a game changer! Thank you so much:kissing_heart:
… I am headed to the kitchen now
@christylaine there’s a bunch of variations of this, Google keto mug bread or cake for deserts. I like the low carb yum site.
This has to be my fave keto meal at the moment…simple, nutritious and delicious! Seasoned beef mince, roasted cherry tomatoes and kale, courgettes all drizzled with butter!
I will definitely check that out … I had pretty much given up on the idea of a hassle free bread option but, if it’s as simple as 1 minute in the microwave then hell yeah! My tiny, Italian loving heart is already relishing in the thought of garlic cheese bread for my next 10 meals
I have a slight preference for the oat fiber flour, because almond flour, and coconut flour are more coarsely ground. And the bread tends to come out a bit more eggy. I’ve also added a little yeast on occasion, just for the taste.
Breakfast this morning! Gnom-gnom.com bagel recipe, with a sausage patty, an egg, and a smear of goat cheese.
Or… cut your blended mix in half and microwave both sides separately = No cutting required
Good thought Dave! Never thought of this. I only have one bowl that size but you could do them back to back.
This was dinner the day before yesterday. Easy makeshift chicken divan featuring leftover rotisserie chicken. Very tasty.
See immediately below the picture series in the next response or two. I like using oat fiber flour.
Thanks for the inspiration @Keto6468, I was thinking about a non effort meal. Basic mug bread, subbed bacon grease for butter, added pepper jack and garlic salt and pickled peppers. I don’t have a microwave, 325F in my countertop convention oven for 12 minutes.
That looks like cloud bread. Looks light and fluffy. Bread only has to be something that will not leak through, and it helps if it tastes OK. I used to complain about using rice breads, because I was avoiding wheat. If you made a sandwich that had wet ingredients, like a tomato, it would leak through and fall apart in your hand. Your bread looks DeLish
Baseball & burgers. He had a burger dip. I topped mine with mushrooms, queso fresco & truffle mayo + tomatoes. I am starting my first fast as I type this. Wish me luck
