Yu Xiang Chicken Mince
Yu Xiang means Fish Fragrance in Chinese, it doesn’t have fish sauce in it or taste like fish. I believe it should be interpreted as “fragrant sauce for fish”. Usually in America it’s called Hot Garlic Sauce. A variation on a classic Sichuan dish, I guess the Chinese here thought Fish Fragrance would not be as appealing to Americans. I used my recently posted Pickled Peppers in it.
Some lazy …pizza(?) eggs?.. yeah eaten on the table of my knee: eggs, peppers, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, parm cheese and tomato sauce.
I ate leftovers but I stopped at the store on the way home and found these in the crouton section. Nice to have when I’m too tired to make my own.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. My round keto bread was made in the bowl. It did make a piece that was just great, although it was hard to cut in half because it was not very thick.
Rib eye with crispy Brussels sprouts and head cheese
Rib eye, pink Himalayan salt, black pepper, dollops of horseradish sauce, butter, Brussels sprouts, head cheese. Had a few macadamia nuts off-plate and some hot chili peppers.
Carnivore tonight. So disappointing… we spent $50 (-tip) for this terribly dry brisket & jal/chz links from Moonshine BBQ. I whipped up a quick remoulade hoping to fix it: NOPE $45 bucks straight in the garbage…

A picky plate consisting of hard boiled eggs, olives, king prawns (I realised today I’m not a fan of these), smoked salmon, baked salami chips, philadelphia and some keto mayo!
Last night I made ketofied chipotle style burrito bowls! I’m visiting my parents and dad has celiacs (like me, he was diagnosed later than me) and mom wants to do keto because of A1C levels.
Cauliflower rice with annato and lime, chipotle chicken breast, taco seasoned ground beef, homemade gaucamole and queso sauce, and peppers and onions roasted at high heat to get nice and charred. With salsa and sour cream!
Bacon, mozz broiled over bacon drippings … too bland. Added some sriracha I am craving vinegar like a mother today!
