24-hour sous vide porterhouse steak, flash-seared and topped with butter-fried mushrooms and house-made gravy. Served alongside hand-turned zoodles in an Alfredo sauce with buttered broccoli.
10g net carbs, but only 16g for the day.
Breakfast. Diced pork heart cooked in butter with salt, pepper, Season All, and crushed garlic. As you can see from the pic, it was steaming hot… and delicious
I grew up and lived most of my life in Northern Virginia and I do miss Maryland crabs! Many fond memories of picking crabs on a hot summer day, supplementing them with fresh tomato and mayo sandwiches.
Yep, people down my way love their Blue Crabs. Being down in Southern MD, there’s waterfronts everywhere, so there’s never short supply. … But I still eat more Dungeness Crab though.
Forgot to load up last night’s meal, which was a Cheese-Burger with fried Onions, pickles and cabbage with ham. Then picked and eat some more crabs for a bit.
Tonight, just a salad, and trying to finish off the rest of the Crabs. … Actually took some stuff to work today for lunch. Cheese-Burger, with Butter fried Mushrooms, Pickles, Olives, Sharp Cheese, and a bunch of picked Crab meat. … The two squares of 90% Lindt’s Dark Chocolate. (No pic, ate between doing IT work and meetings.)
Locally-sourced bacon, served alongside cream-infused scrambled eggs with finely-sliced slivers of hot Hungarian salami mixed through.
Protein is down, but lunch is going to sort that out…
That does look flavoursome! I’ve never had pork heart before - can I ask what the texture/flavour are like? I’m kinda new to the meat eating thing but looking to try new bits.
Hay have you made tac salad bowls. Like the bowl it self. I am wondering if there’s a recipe for them.
It was just like regular pork but not at all dry like some cuts of pork often are.
Simple and satisfying - Pan-fried pulled brisket (12-hour cooked, 42-hour rested), topped with mozzarella cheese, sour cream and baby spinach.
Forgot to put pickled jalapenos through it, most annoyed.
Beef heart for breakfast today. This being off work thing suits me well, but back to normality next week…
Oven-roasted golden chicken thighs stuffed with macadamia nuts, ham, cream cheese and spinach before being hand-wrapped in chicken skin and topped with shredded parmigiana, attended by cast-iron fried cauliflower in a pool of Alfredo sauce, and Bok Choy.
My first Keto meal I shred with my sweet in-laws!
Ribeye, my first attempt at riced cauliflower (bacon, sour cream, cheese) and tossed Salad! Keto and they loved it!
I wish my in-laws were screaming metal guitarists, that would be a massive improvement
