Caldo de Pollo, with cabbage, zucchini, celery & () carrots. Topped with cilantro & serranos
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
Sorry I asked. My brain went straight to something terrible and so I was worried. Funny though, I have just started working with green peppers! Never really liked them but had them at a potluck in an egg and cheese casserole and it was delicious. I don’t like a lot of heat so I’m trying Pasilla and Anaheim peppers.
Below is breakfast. Omelette with sausage, bacon, onion, pasilla peppers, cheddar, and sour cream.
No it was premade. Its like a french dressing, sorta, with relish in it, sorta lol. The one I found was low sugar, low carb. Its my favorite
I got a bunch of Anaheims last week - delicious. With hotter ones like Serranos and Jalapeños, if they’re too hot for me to eat plain (and Serranos have been that way, lately) a little sautéeing of the sliced peppers in butter - (or in butter + meat juice and olive oil left over from frying meat) - really tones down the heat and tastes great. Doesn’t have to be very hot, like 250 °F oe 120 °C.
I looked up recipes. I will give it a try. 1000 island is really kinda a no go for me because I don’t like artificial sweeteners. This Russian might be a better alternative! And interesting it has a little spice.
Baked cheese with smoked bacon???
CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
My reluctant-keto-turned-to-the-dark-side husband found this in Houston and snapped it up!!! I love that man!!!
Matcha Cake and Oolong Tea
I had a friend come and help me get my garden started, we ate some filet mingnon and rainbow chard with mushrooms and a side of my latest sauerkraut. We were so hungry I forgot to photograph it. I had this instead of dinner.
I never do artifical sweeteners, Im allergic to every single one in that they give me a migraine. But theres very little sugar, and when Im PMSing Ill have something like 1000 Island or Russian that has very little sugar in a serving. Doesnt seem to budge my ketosis one way or another, so for me, its safe.
No pics (not that it would look like much anyways)
I made a really good chicken salad with:
2 chicken beasts chopped
Onions
Celery
Garlic pwder
Salt and Pepper
Home made mayo
Sour cream
1 whole avacado (cut in chunks)
cayenne pepper
blue cheese crumbles
YUMMY!!!
I’ve been enjoying eating chicherones with sour cream mixed with fiesta dip. Just a tiny bit of the seasoning is enough.
I read online you can make your own fiesta dip seasoning with McCormick’s chipotle seasoning, dill, cumin, onion, garlic, salt. I’m going to try it.
These ones are actually uncooked! I’m just starting my radish experience…I sliced them up with a mandolin and threw some olive oil, salt and pepper on them. I’m looking forward to cooking them next time
I practically inhaled this! omelette with mozzarella and tomato, threw some olives in for luck and topped with my mayo.
I had tea with a friend using my new teapot from my daughter. It has blooming plants and flowers in the water. Very pretty. Not very good tasting.
For lunch I’m cooking up the vegetables in the drawer: zucchini, yellow squash, radishes, green onions and ribeye. Garlic and basil.
Ate 1/2 of it. So full
