What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Full Metal KETO AF) #5125

Butter isn’t really dairy, it’s fat…:smiling_imp::metal:

(Brandy) #5126

Kalua pig, butter fried sunny side & Hawaiian chili pepper water. Ono. Keto.

#5127

Yeah, but it’s still butter. … Actually just trying to see if giving up all Dairy has any benefits for me. Only doing it for the month of March. But should know more by the end of the month. And butter will be back in the mix shortly after.

This post has been flagged so I can try this method once I break my current fast.

Edited due to unintelligibility. Sigh…

Edited again… Sigh…

(Diane) #5129

Ooh… that burger looks really good with that egg. When I lived in Argentina, they would put fried eggs on everything; burgers, pizzas, Milanesas (thin cutlets of breaded beef with tomato sauce and mozzarella), etc.

I’m gonna try it!

(Diane) #5130

Or make some ghee which doesn’t have the milk solids (and which some people don’t consider to be really dairy). It’s yummy!

#5131

Salad, Pickles & Olives, along with some Pulled Pork and two 1/4 lb. all Beef Half Smokes.

#5132

Lidl had 8oz grass fed sirloin on sale so tonight was sous vide night! :yum:

#5133

S’getti (ie palmini again) and meatballs (beef/lamb mix)

#5134

Seems like Saturday night is now the night I decide I don’t feel like cooking

On a related note, I bought the BF some boneless pork ribs and a pot roast and I’ve never cooked either before. Does anyone have a simple favorite recipe?

(Christy) #5135

Thin cut ribeye. seared, blue in the middle, topped with goat cheese, green peppers & creminis.

Contemplating making a keto cheesecake as I type … but I’m so full I can barely move

(Jane) #5136

Especially if you make ghee out of it and discard the milk proteins!!!

(Jane) #5137

Love that plate!!!

(Cancer Fighting Ketovore :)) #5138

Avacado cheeseburger
Daikon radish fries
Asperagus with bacon bits and goat cheese
Oil dressing (ACV, olive, and MCT oil)
Oh, and low-carb catsup

(Diane) #5139

How did you like the daikon radish fries?

(Full Metal KETO AF) #5140

Ah, I was thinking Lent…:smiling_imp::metal:

I was playing the evil temptation angle!

(Cancer Fighting Ketovore :)) #5141

They were good!
I put pink salt, garlic powder, and olive oil on them.

On a scale of 1-10 my kids rate the fries:
8 (my 8 year old) He did ask for 2nds though
10 (my 5 year old)
and not sure for my 2 year old…

My home made pate with shop bought sunflower seed crackers. Bloody gorgeous. Best pate I have ever had! What is it about home made food that makes it so fantastic? No preservatives?

Shouldn’t pate be a keto superfood? isn’t liver the most nutritious food we have?

(Diane) #5143

What recipe did you end up using for the pate?

(Full Metal KETO AF) #5144

A dreary rainy Monterey Bay day in Santa Cruz, I watched The Shining while the sousvide did it’s work…

@Elle79 There Will Be Blood! :hocho::hocho::hocho:
(I know different movie reference)

I bought a bunch of BEEF yesterday to portion and freeze for sousvide fodder.

Blackened Beef Tenderloin with Bok Choy and Mushrooms

Okay so not as much blood as I planned  :cowboy_hat_face:
