You can cook for me.
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
She liked it, so all is good
TBH, I mostly do pretty simple stuff, my wife is a far better cook than I am.
Market-sourced beef brisket, salt-seasoned and pan-seared before spending the day slow-cooking in a vegetable-infused beef broth. Presented with hand-drawn daikon noodles in a house-prepared Alfredo sauce, with steamed green beans dressed with garlic butter.
Also, it was warm, so we ate outside on the balcony for the first time for months. Noice. (But the photos aren’t as good, as I forgot to set anything up inside to take the shot on the way to the table outside. #sigh)
I’m going to need a bigger pudding dish for this one
Yes indeedy. I prefer 34 days but I just couldn’t wait. It’s not my fault, they just looked so good.
Just an idea but how about grating the Lindt on the top. I put it on lots of stuff but only to add fibre honest.
Lunch: bacon and egg muffins (roasted red peppers, feta and just a few carmelized onions- my favorite filling for the egg muffins so far).
Had a 200g wheel of President Double Brie last week (when it was on special, of course - $25/kg is bad enough, not paying $50 It’s good, but I like the Tasmanian Heritage stuff more, which is usually on special for the same price on alternate weeks
I can get the double at a higher price than this, and much prefer it, but these ones are available at only $2 a pack. Silly. They’re begging me to eat more.
Welcome to Australian prices, sunshine…
Good man. It’s your calling, I can tell…
First course of my birthday splurge - giant bacon blue romaine wedge salad. Brought my homemade Chart House dressing.
I’ve actually thought of doing this for something desert ideas, but usually just eat a square by itself for an after meal taste. But usually no more than a couple times a week. But I will keep it in mind, thanks.
For lunch today, I just finished off my other half of Demonico Steak & fried Onions from last night, 1 pickle and the rest of the Kale. … Figured to be picking crabs again tonight, and the wife is making some Cod to go with it.
Second course - prime rib & asparagus. Special request, mushrooms sautéed in butter instead of the usual canola oil. Very accommodating!
