Are you getting it from a butcher that does their own? Could maybe ask if they can do some specially for you, select fattier peices (maybe they are trimming the fat?/) i get a whole side at a time from my butcher and he knows not to trim it to remove fat etc(also he smokes it to request
 last ones were maple smoked and chipotle smoked
 nom nom nom!)

No from supermarkets. There aren’t any local butchers here who make their own bacon, not that I’ve found anyway.

My mom used to make a midwestern style beef stroganoff when I was a kid and I was thinking about that today, so I just turned it ketotarian by removing the can of cream of mushroom soup and replacing it with mushrooms and extra cream cheese, used veggie ground beef. Served over zoodles. So rich, we still have half of it left and feel stuffed.

Well, I was fasting, until the Wife told me of all the stuff we had (Already cooked or needed to be) so we all decided to eat tonight. (We were all fasting) 
 Had a Salad, with Broccoli and Cheese. Then a Cheese Burger with Onion and Mushrooms, Gizzards that were slow cooked all day yesterday, and Deviled Eggs, Pickles and some slices of Liverwurst. 
 2 Squares 90% Lindt’s and 3 Brazil Nuts.

I added a couple of drops of stevia, lemon juice and lemon extract to double cream, whipped it up and topped it with raspberries! So delicious! :heart_eyes:
So much for me cutting out dairy! :joy:

Back to Basics

So I returned 8 days ago from 7 weeks in Florida. I was visiting my best friend who’s a nurse, she wanted to get into keto eating and I got her started and cooked for her the whole time. Ate at some restaurants on a few occasions and had an occasional cocktail or champagne. She drinks most days and still lost 8 lbs. while I was there. There was no scale at the house so I didn’t weigh in till I got home, up 8 lbs. I think I may have accidentally stolen her fat! Anyway I lost it in 8 days and I am back to my pre vacation weigh this morning, 182 lbs. Time to buckle down with some basics for a while.

I usually don’t post a bacon and egg breakfast but it was to make a point. And I recently developed a liking for starting the day “Sunny Side Up” Have an awesome day everyone! :cowboy_hat_face::avocado::egg::pig2::sun_with_face:
