Alright… I made the pate EXACTLY per the recipe @Hardrock_keto_chick posted , which is not my norm but I wanted to make sure I didn’t deviate and then not turn out good.

So far so good…

And I tasted it…

AND DIDNT GAG! I like the strong flavors of fresh rosemary and balsamic vinegar.

My Mom is rolling over in her grave out of sheer joy. I can hear her voice in my head “About time, daughter of mine. Only took you SIXTY YEARS!!!”

Had a mid-day meal, consisting of some of my favorites. Fried Eggs, Bacon, Sausage Links and Sausage Patties. (One Egg was harmed in the making of this plate, and did not make the photo shoot. :slight_smile: ) … Also had the Wife throw in a pack of Gizzards and Hearts to snack on, but also to share with the Pups. :slight_smile: They also got some Fried Eggs to go with them, as they usually do.

Cool, I like the idea of filling the little natural bowl with the Ranch. :slight_smile: But I’m also hearing just about everyone mentioning salt, so think they may indeed be something that’s needed with them.

I think the food companies are just obsessed with trimming the fats off. I’ve even been struggling to find pork belly slices that still has the skin on recently :open_mouth: The bacon slices are all really lean, even when I choose the streaky bacon which is higher fat, I tend to add ghee when I’m cooking it or it ends up too dry.

Before I went keto, I used to be in love with a mint dark chocolate bar I bought from Tesco…today I improvised and melted a bar of 100% cocoa chocolate and mixed in peppermint extract! :heartpulse::chocolate_bar:

Keto crepes and Spam - I like these crepes because they have the same taste as French toast. On occasion I just need to taste that taste.

Rub it in why don’t you! As @Shortstuff said good bacon & pork belly are hard to find at the moment. Am also struggling to anything other than “extra lean” beef joints. :disappointed:

Sandwich with oat flour for lunch. I need to add something to the bread that gives it a slightly different taste. The texture is quite good but I’m still tasting a bit sawdust.

I’m thinking maybe a little herbs, or salt, Sweetener.

A super quick lunch

Threw together some pulled pork, cauliflower rice, melted goat cheese, 843kg of butter, and a dash of Dijon mustard. Also ate a bit of prosciutto and some spicy pepperoni sticks I made recently. A bit too spicy (need to tone it down next time) but worked well for warming up from shoveling snow!
