Same when I worked in hospitality (pizza). Busy times everything just flowed and the team pulled together, but at quiet times boredom kicked in and people lost focus.
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
This duck was good! Nice thick layer of fat, seasoned with black pepper. I tend to stay away from prepared meats since I donât know what it was marinated in, but this seemed fine. I wasnât getting any suspisciously sweet flavors or anything. And my friend was excited to have something I could eat to serve as snacks.
HaPpy- The greatest lesson Iâve learned during this 2 month journey was #1 -to stop eating out of habit. Iâve become a OMAD and snack ketoite. Iâm just not hungry nor do I crave any of the junk food that I used to consume daily. Iâve fallen in love with sugar free jello and homemade whip cream! Iâm down 15.4 lbs and have totally accepted this eating lifestyle. I have even incorporated some of my âstaple â dishes into family meals which earns a star for lesson #2 in this journey. Striving for 30 more pounds to lose!!
Todayâs lunch consisted of things I needed to use up in the fridge! Salmon, beans and butter, avocado, mortadella, olives, homemade mayo and pepperoni chips! #randomketo
On my little island, thereâs this iced creamery with the most divine ice creams. And Iâve missed them. But here we have home made Peanut Butter ice cream and Peppermint Choc Chip, compliments of Carrie Brownâs Keto ice cream cook book. I donât miss the other stuff anymore. In fact, Iâm dead.
And as an added bonus, making these ice creams is a most satisfying processs.
I put crushed pork rinds in eggs and mix in a little cheese. Let it soak up for a few minutes. I nearly burn both sides on my skillet for crunchy yummy.
NEED AVOCADO? WE HAVE AVOCADO. A huge avocado. Drizzled with lime juice and topped with Himalayan Pink Salt. On the side, a Taco Meatza, featuring pickled jalapenos and mushrooms. Get yer faux-mexican on today! But mostly, eat this massive avocado.
No pics but I made a regular mayo from olive oil and took out a loan (j/k) for some avocado oil to make a second jar of mayo. The avocado oil mayo was interesting and I liked it. Mixed reviews here.
Going to use the regular mayo on Sunday for deviled eggs to take to my neighborâs Super Bowl get together. Along with some shrimp cocktail.
These are my friends I have been trying to consider keto since the wife is facing insulin injections because she wonât quit eating carbs.
I made them a totally keto dinner and it was delicious and filling as an example.
I think I have had some influence. I asked what the menu was and it was homemade wings, cheeses and zucchini soup!

Had a very long day today, (15+ hrs.) to finish off an even longer week. ⊠But this OMAD today was somehow different? Had a Top Sirloin in a SV bath since 5AM, (16 hrs.) but it wasnât only good, but goddamn flavorful! Not just the steak, but everything!?! My Salad, the Broccoli & Cauliflower soup the Pickle and Olives. Everything just seemed to be flavor enhanced for some reason, I mean like 5 times stronger? But I canât even think why? ⊠Donât get me wrong, was nice, but somewhat bothersome⊠Also gave the Wife about 1/4th or 1/5th of the steak, after she decided to eat. She was going to fast, but glad she didnât, so I could eat the Salad. Had she not done so, I wouldnât have gotten to the Salad.
Working lunch
All day meeting, hungry at lunch. The catered lunch was from a Mexican place so I was able to put something great together without the carbs. Very tasty.
Dinner
Salmon, bacon, mushrooms, roasted broccoli, later covered in a delicious chipotle and lime avocado mayo*.
* only joking. It was drowned in butter.
