What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

#3562

Thanks Safi, me too.

Not sure if we’ve ever tried Tamiflu before? Just started taking the Robitussin since we had some here already. Usually works ok, especially if I catch it early. … The wife actually had our Doctor call in a couple scripts for her, since she’s out of town presently. - Cough Syrup with Codeine, and some Antibiotics. (She’s got it worse) But I may indeed have to try some, since you’re not the first to recommend Tamiflu over Robitussin.

That is a rib eye coated in bacon grease, seared on white hot cast iron. Smothered with sautéed mushrooms, onions and garlic in a cream sauce. Broccoli is for color, I was out of parsley.

Enjoy

Spoked wheel, right, at first I thought it might be an onion, like the ones you get at the deli.

I tried ribeye for the first time in bacon fat. Amazing. That looks great.

Beautiful plating of food. Looks yum.

Ah, my wife cooked that one. I do the simpler stuff like fried lunches, which aren’t actually simpler because of the need to get everything to finish at the same time

You are quite the cook. Again another fantastic photo. Very professional.

 I took one I like more, but it wouldn’t polish up as well, so maybe not so good.

Just pan-fry it a little is about it. Just checked with Cha, that’s all she does too.

it’s fun!

(Ernest) #3568

What temp and time did you use?
How thick were the slices?

(Kristin) #3569

Oven-roasted chicken legs ( which had been marinated overnight in Primal Kitchen brand marinade) with a side of kale/asparagus/bell pepper.

Sorry the photo presentation is not good - the meal was partially eaten before I could get a photo taken!

This comment has been deemed worthy of a LIKE!

Explanation (click here):

I really want to give your comment a “like”, but the forum software has indicated to me that I am currently ALL OUT, because of some arbitrary limit of “likes” one can give out, in some arbitrary time span.

Not having the ability to “like” your comment leaves me with few choices.

To remedy this, I have chosen to create this comment to explain that I like your comment, but I can’t “like” it right now.

Which, honestly, goes against the forum guidelines of keeping things “tidy”.

Keep It Tidy

Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:

  • Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
  • Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
  • Don’t post no-content replies.
  • Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
  • Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.

Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a Linked Topic.

So, I do the best I can.

Cheers!

Home for lunch, spicy tuna and cabbage with black coffee.

I met friends for coffee this morning. In my mind I ordered an americano, but apparently my mouth said cappuccino, my pre-keto standard. I went ahead and drank it. First one in 8 months. I was nice. 17g of carbs nice. Not really. Lesson is that I need to have some coffee before I am responsible enough to order coffee.

Sous Vide Beef Oyster Blade with Broccolini, Parmesan & Pine Nut Salad.

(Running from stupidity) #3576

Egg roll in a bowl! This dish is deceptive, in that it creeps up on you. As you take your first few bites of this pork mince, cabbage and onion creation, you may be thinking it’s somewhat bland. But after a minute or two, the flavours of the ginger, garlic and chicken stock infusion begin to shine as they meld with the main ingredients to create a party in your mouth.

(Running from stupidity) #3577

Sous vide eggs are the contrast here to a plate full of meat. Market bacon, butterflied cheese kransky and freshly-detinned spam give you your protein hit for the day.

Sliced beef heart cooked in ghee with cauliflower cheese

(Ellen) #3579

That does’t look like a sous vide egg :face_with_monocle:
