What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

My friend, who braided my hair, also invited us to dinner, and a movie on Amazon prime. We brought assorted olives, and a cheese tray. Her husband had made a broccoli cheese sour cream dip that was fantastic. We watched a stunningly bad Christmas movie but dinner was delicious.!

Roasted brussels sprouts with bacon, and salmon. She also made some tartar sauce that was quite good. She had toasted bread which would’ve filled the plate, but not eating the wheat anymore.

That’s not really narrowing it down much

Fresh house-made pork rinds! (Chicharrones for some of you furriners) Straight out of the fryer to your mouth, with just a little - well, a decent amount, actually - of Himalayan pink salt added when they were still hot.

Christmas in Willow Creek, or somesuch thing. Sort of Dukes of Hazzard with jingle bells.

(Running from stupidity) #2965

Yeah, does sound enticing

First day back at work after the holiday and I need coffee. Not the same with decaf but still :joy:

(Jody) #2967

I do this to make basically a “bread and butter” pickle! Good to know I’m not the only one that does it! LOL

(Sophie) #2968

Sounds perfectly horrible! :rofl::laughing::rofl:

Hi all! I’ve enjoyed all the inspiration from this thread! Here was my breakfast…2 scrambled eggs with some cream. Bacon, I stopped being stingy and just take what seems appropriate to my appetite, and 4 raw brazil nuts blanketed with a pat of Kerrygold. I could eat these nuggets all day!

I’m having my last meals. Nothing after midnight for my surgery. And the doctors sounded concerned. Would I be OK?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I expect most people they work with are not keto.

Lunch:

Deviled eggs
Almond butter with celery
Pecan and butter sandwiches

(Brennan) #2972

Omg yes!

#2973

I saw someone post about them and my initial thought was, eww weird!! But they are AMAZING! I also thought the same thing about Kerigold…why would I spend more on that butter, butter is butter, right!!! Omg, so much goodness!

#2974

Well now I’m intrigued.

I love butter, and I love pecans, so why not?
I think I’m gonna have to go buy some pecans, on the way home.

Well, stomach is getting there I think, but apparently the wife thinks it’s just fine. :flushed: … Had a Salad, followed by some leftovers. Piece of Chicken, a portion of Pork Chop I didn’t finish the other night, Cauliflower, Deviled Eggs, Pickles and Olives. Plus, another bowl of Chili. … Guess I will find out. … Plus, thinking of Fasting the rest of the week? But not sure just yet…

Sous vide steak that would make Guga proud! If you don’t know who Guga is you need to check out his “Sous Vide Everything” YouTube channel. So many recipes, experiments and laughs.

Juice’s hearty breakfast! Two beautifully creamy sous vide eggs, surrounded by all the bacon-fat fried things - mushrooms, roast chicken and bacon. Also some leftover Christmas ham we’re trying to get rid of.

Looks a little rugged for a queasy tummy!

He’s destruction-testing it
